Sometimes it goes beyond being your problem. If you've raised it, and it's not being addressed, then perhaps as kit becomes out of order more frequently, they'll understand where you're coming from. Sometimes actions speak louder than words.
-
Why? Explain to SLT what is happening, and let them get the message out, if it's not your remit?

I never really got anywhere with Microsoft, they seemed to suggest it was a known issue being worked on.

App is listed as installed on iPad in Lightspeed MDM

Have you tried forcing a resynch? -
You're one of the new engineers, then?
-
Let me clarify. Depends on where you buy the iPads from though as not all can offer DEP, at this point, was what I was told. So you may still need to use configurator.
-
Improve it for who, the end user or yourself?
-
You can enrol devices through a web URL but they need to be connected to configurator to supervise them? Without them being supervised a lot of the restrictions don't work. I'm not sure what you mean by local management?
-
We use the MDM and the interface has come on a lot. I would say it's very friendly to use now. When did you last use it @smithson83? I think it depends on who you ask. Some people prefer to use the Apple tools, others won't. We've not had any major issues with Lightspeed MDM and changes we make online are pushed out to the devices very quickly. A lot of it is reliant on the Apple backend, so the issues there have been with delays, have usually been as a result of Apple. Happy to answer any specific questions you may have.

Which version are you on @jcollings?
-
I believe the 300's are a bit more of a workhorse, over the 305, as we've got a 300 for an area with heavier traffic. Another good machine.

You don't use FSM? In that case, why don't you use FSM to do what you want? If you don't need that 'group' for other things just set the FSM allowance as £1 and mark the pupils you want as FSM. By FSM I mean Free School Meals, just so we're on the same track. What version do you have?
-
We have a few Ricoh MPC305 SPF machines but it's A4 only and pretty simple in terms of what it does but it's a good, reliable machine.
-
The only way I know of is a Grant, but this doesn't get removed if unused. FSM does this, but I don't believe you can recreate that sort of group. Could you move to the newer version?
