An absolute joke, I spent some time getting things prepared for this and then to have all of these delays and connection issues. Some candidates had to wait 35-40 mins to get connected only to have the page drop again later.

I have had odd faults in the past with the locally stored Sims *.XML file becoming corrupt. But this only generally affects an individual sims users on that client, but it would not harm to rename the “C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Mydocuments\My SIMS Documents\%Username% folder as Sims will generate another one. My very first laptop was 486 model from Evesham Micros and it came with Widows 3.1, I can remeber getting all excited about TTFonts.

Forgive me but, on the PC concerned have you tried flushing the DNS cache (@ command prompt: ipconfig /flushdns).

Is it possible you have cleared/deleted the "Default User" profile of your client PC when clearing pfofiles?
