Don't think you can simply rate one the highest. It's all very relative to your requirements and how you want to manage them. There's solutions on your list that you wouldn't use if you had 5,000 users and on the flip side there's ones that you wouldn't use if you only had 5.

Eventually figured this out and am kind of kicking myself a bit for wasting so much time on it when there was a quick fix. The VM was deployed before I'd configured the Site-to-Site details on the Rise Control Panel, so the static routes were not applied to the VM. Redeployed the VM and all working great

Its IPsec. The Draytek is here at the office, and the Cisco is at Rise's (Fasthosts) Datacentre. I have the Draytek set to Dial Out to the Cisco. The VPN is established but no traffic comes back from the other end. Using the Cisco VPN client its flawless, but can't get the Draytek to work.

Hi all, I'm a little bit of a novice when it comes to VPN so do bear with me. I'm trying to set up a LAN to LAN VPN connection from our office to our hosting provider. At their end is a Cisco ASA box and we have a Vigor 2850n. Our provider gave us the Cisco VPN client, which when I use works perfectly, when connected I can RDP to the VM sat behind the Cisco. What I want to do us use our 2850n instead of the Cisco VPN Client. I have set the LAN to LAN connection up, the connection is established OK but I there is very little traffic being transmitted out and zero traffic coming back in. It works flawlessly through the Cisco software, so I expect is something not configured correctly on my side. Any pointers as to where I should be looking? Many thanks!

Well I have the equipment on my side - but the VPS is with Fasthosts. Can the VPN run on the VPS with no additional hardware on that side?

What I'm basically looking at is disposing of our SBS2003 box and moving everything onto a 2008R2 VPS in a datacentre. Looks like having a DC on a VPS is a ballache and a half. Are there any alternatives? Is it bad practice having the DC externally?

Is it possible? I'm trying to join a domain over the internet but not having much luck. The server is Windows 2008 R2 VPS and the client is Windows 7 Pro. It seems like the client PC can see the DC because when the address is entered for it, I'm then asked for login credentials but once they're entered it hands for about 10 seconds before giving me the 'Network path was not found error' Anybody successfuly achieved this? It only affects the one user, and doesn't happen if the mail is sent through Outlook, only ever happens when sent through OWA. There's no pattern to it at all. Has been replicated in both Chrome and IE9 and on two different machines. No 3rd party software putting disclaimers on or anything like that. Starting to think it might be better to back the mail up and wipe the mailbox and then re-create.

Bumping this one back up to see if anybody else has heard of it before as I've not been able to find a solution. This happens on the user's home PC, home laptop and Windows Tablet. It is so random, it hasn't done it for a month or two and then its happened a couple of times this week. Stumped really.

We are currently running Exchange 2003 on SBS2003. Although we plan to migrate to SBS2011 / Exchange 2010 within the next 2-3 months there is an issue one of our users has which I'd like to resolve in the meantime. The user accesses their E-mail via OWA when not in the office. The problem that she has is that she will send an E-mail and the browser returns to the Inbox. Quite often the recipient of that E-mail receives 2, 3, 4, 5 or even 6 copies of the E-mail. They're all timed at the same time and the Message ID's move up in sequence. If she looks in her Sent Items she will see all of the sent copies. It seems to be quite random, it doesn't do it to all E-mails sent, just some. This is happening on two difference PC's that the user has (1 laptop, 1 windows tablet) and happens no matter which browser is used so I don't believe the problem is at her side so I need to troubleshoot it on Exchange. Anybody heard of this before or any suggestions as to the likely cause? Many thanks!

I'm having a bit of trouble setting up Exchange ActiveSync on some iOS devices. I can't seem to get the devices to connect to the Exchange box. When running the Remote Connectivity Analyzer I get 1 warning and 1 error which are displayed below: - Testing HTTP Authentication Methods for [Our Server Address]/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync/ The test passed with some warnings encountered. Additional Details - The following authentication methods are enabled, but they aren't allowed authentication methods for this service. Methods: Negotiate, NTLM Attempting the FolderSync command on the Exchange ActiveSync session. The test of the FolderSync command failed. Additional Details - Exchange ActiveSync returned an HTTP 500 response. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi James, Thank you for your reply. We don't unfortunately We have a storage facility off-site since an office move last year. I'm going to head down there Thursday and see if its ended up there but just wondered if there were any other ways of getting hold of the media.

Does anybody know where I can get my hands on the installation software for SQL Server 2005? Our organisation has a fully licensed installation, however I need to install the Full text search component and can't do that without the media, suffice to say I can't find it!

Nope none. Its a strange one but the remote connection is definitely the cause, it will only happen if I open up a remote session to the server and then leave it idle for a short time.

Nope nothing at all untoward. In the moments leading up to the crash there's nothing logged out of the ordinary.

Hi all, I'm having an issue with our SBS 2003 and RDP connections. It seems that using Remote Desktop is causing the server to crash. If I don't RDP into the server for say 7 days we will have no problems, but if I RDP into it from one of the client PC's then minimise the window, the server crashes - not straight away but after a random period, it has been as little as 2 minutes and as long as 30 minutes. All of the client PC's lose connection to server. When I go to the server room the server is on but the screen is frozen. Mouse and keyboard inputs aren't acknowledged on screen and a hard reset is the only thing I can do to get it back up and running. If I disconnect the remote desktop connection once finished I don't see the issue, but if I minimise it on the client PC then the server can lock up within a few minutes. Anybody heard of this issue before? Thanks in advance, Graeme
