I've just done the update. Game just loading and doing an update in the sync stage as well!

I'm guessing it shouldn't be using the proxy for a local ip address... have got bypass proxy for local addresses ticked in ie? What happens if you remove the proxy address?

WebMatrix has ti be running for you to access the site. When I get back in office (I'm currently out visiting clients and using mobile) I'll have a look at the settings and see if I can workout how to access it from another machine. What happens if you change localhost to the ip address of the machine, can you access the site from another machine then?

When you open up Microsoft Web Platform, select the site (which Opens up Microsoft WebMatrix). From there you can select Site > Settings. On this screen you change the address (I haven't tried changing it before), also the port number is in here as well

Microsoft Web platform using a different port for each install of wordpress or anything else that you use from the list of programs. I am not sure if you can change the port it uses - I'll have a look on my laptop in abit and see if you can

@HaleStorm They didn't want to give me the username and password at first - I had problems with there router and they wanted me to buy a their new Sky Hub but I wasn't going to buy that when I had a router I could use. Once I explained my job role, the bloke gave me the username and password so I could use my own router. They didn't have any problems with it what so ever apart from I had to connect their router if I had problems with the line!

@HaleStorm I've been using my own router for about 9 months with no problem. They even know I am using my own router!

@tmoon-mint - I've never had any problems what so ever with Sky Broadband. @HaleStorm @IrritableTech - it is a pain but I have just got my Sky ADSL username and password from them and used my own router

There is an add on for firefox that lets you use a different host file. I have it ob my work machine but can't remember the name of it..

Think I will be waiting for the ISO to be available before I install it and I will then install is on a VM to see and not on my W8 Pro laptop
