LanView 3 server allows for remote shutdown reboot log off and you can force this as well if someones is logged on! Wes

Well tried that but everytime I rung the wizard it say domain could not be contacted error 1355 check google quite a few times this happens but I can't pin it down, anyone know if there's another way? Wes

Actually just thinking if the subnet mask is 255.255.248.0 then the subnet mask IP address would only be 192.168.0.0 with the 192.168.*.255 as broadcasts? So 192.168.2.0 is valid? CCNA people out there is this correct? Wes

Created DHCP on a new server. Setup the scope to be 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.7.254 Subnet 255.255.248.0 DNS setup correctly and the gateway. I then excluded 192.168.0.* and 192.168.3.* from the range. When I renew the address on a pc I get the addrss of 192.168.1.0 which I know can't be used as its the subnet mask address but it still manages it how can I stop this bl**dy thing from messing up? I know you can exclude 192.168.*.255 but it doesn't allow 192.168*.0 to be excluded! Wes

Having installed the main setup on our ISA box we now need to install a secondary one for automatically pushing out the AV to the client computers. When we do we get the following error message: "mmc cannot initialize snap-in" We're running Windows 2003 Release 2 and Sophos EM Library 1.2 Build 18. Any ideas guys? Wes

Task Manager is disabled Ctrl Alt Del disable is not possible without replacing a windows file or two with yours. Or buy a program that does this. If it could always come to the front and keep focus (unable to to minimize too?) that would do it I think? Wes

I could set it up as User Script via their account if that would help in a solution? Do you know how I could make the mouse stay in the current VB progs window (The Login script for the AUP is actually a VB prog) That way even if it does show up they can't actually get to anything else! @Geoff: Funny you should say that but it has that functionality sadly thoguh if they don't click on anything then they still have complete access to windows but with the AUP displayed on screen all the time. @ajbritton: Scripts are assigned as Login Scripts under User Config in a Pupils GPO. Wes
