Matt, I am trying to do the same at our College. Did you ever get this to work? I have been talking to 4 Microsoft engineers so far but I still can't send out to '[email protected]' although I can send to '[email protected]'. (I can send from both accounts to my onsite exchange test account). I have checked using our Exchange 'Message Tracking Center' tool and it is forwarding the mail to the Microsoft email smart host so I have a feeling that the problem is at the cloud end. We are currently trialling Sonicwall but are having trouble with LDAP authentication with laptops. The situation is this: A user gets a laptop out of the charging cabinet, switches it on and immediately logs on to browse to the internet. The sonicwall uses LDAP to communicate with active directory and log them into sonicwall. However the laptops also have Sophos antivirus on and it uses an account such as 'Sophos-SAU{laptopname}' to update it's virus definitions as soon as the laptop is booted. The problem is Sonicwall takes the sophos update account and tries to log that in instead of the user account. This fails, the user is not logged in and cannot use the internet! Does this problem occur with Smoothwall as well?

We have a policy of not allowing students to save or run .exe files on our network. Unfortunately last year as part of 'A' Level IT we now have to allow certain students to program in Visual Studio. This means that we have to allow these students to create .exe files as part of their projects. Sure enough our fears were well-founded and we have found that some students are now running 'other' programs such as license key finders, wireless password finders etc. Has anybody found out a way of allowing students to run programming languages for their course without needing to save or run .exe files

Hello. I have installed this software as it is part of the A2 course this year. First of all I had to give permission to save exe's to the student home drive, then permission to run exe's from the student home drive. The problem now is then when you open the Visual Studio project it says: "The project location is not trusted". On looking on Google most links say use "Mscorcfg.msc" or "Caspol.exe".
