Well tbh, I didn't think I was alone.. before I went in Cobb was right behind me.. then he just disappeared all of a sudden I took about 15 of the greedy little SOBs with me though, I go down kicking when there's no way out ^^
-
Jump-o-death? This must have been after I logged.. how badly did it hurt? I got pinned in the guard hut in the Meruko military base, walked in, found a lovely ammo stash and was unfortunate enough to have a zed patrol wander in. He was double tapped, but the 20 or so that followed him didn't like my AK sammiches

If it was Sarge and Josef, I reckon he would have!
-
He wasn't just there, poor bloke nearly lost his face! Good job Carbon can aim
-
When it comes to that particular target, we're all shoot first ask friendly later kinda guys I think!
-
Yeah, I heard about the 50. cal kill a few times, Josef and Sarge just seem like they need to grow up. All the whining about bandits when they started it.. do they not know PK'ing is pretty much what makes DayZ what it is? Constant fear of unknown players taking your scalp for some frank n beans. I ended up running a mile to save Cobb, he tried to take about 40 zeds with a lee enfield. Chris' reaction was amazing though, poor guy didn't know what was going on! I'll probably hop on tonight at some point, so if you could send me the TS details over that'd be sweet

I'm sure I saw UK210 yesterday on the lists I honestly had tears streaming when I saw Carbon's response to the kill. "FOR THE MOTHER LAND!!" Nothing but chuckles with you lot though by the looks of things.. Sarg and Josef just added to the amusement ^^ I lost all my gear in the military base last night, walked into one of the small huts and got ambushed by like, 30 zeds.

Still is all about skillz 'n' drillz! My N64's hooked up to my 32 samsung, gets more use than my xbox + ps3 put together! I'll probably still risk UK21 tonight, though my death chances are high seeing as I have some friends around who want to try it out, I'll have to teach them about elevation changes and bushes No decent admin would see those logs and do nothing about them.
-
All the more reason for him to give him a decent ban then! Gotta discipline the CoD generation I was brought up on the old splitscreen multiplayer with my stepdad on the PS1, Segas and Nintendos. Any cheating tendencies were soon dropped once he started showing me win with skill rather than exploits.

Ah, I knew the Lingor wasn't connected to the Chernaus Hive, but wasn't aware there was no Lingor Hive.. sucks a little bit really. I'm sure he'll either get bored and vanish or get admin'd at some point. Just gotta wait it out

Tbh, the first time I saw Fester was killed I thought you guys just adopted "Shoot on Sight" for him and Josef. Only when he died again straight away did I notice it wasn't you guys working that fast. So far I've found a crashed plane, spent most of my time down in Calamar just exploring the open buildings. Was told about an hour later that it's a bad place to be once the PK'ing starts though, so I may join an empty server to get out safely tonight
-
As soon as he called you bandits I knew something was gonna go down. Grabbed a tent and the M1911 I'd found and scarpered Definitely the best equipment I've ever had so far, which isn't too hard when I only have about 5 hours on Chernaus. Currently carrying: AKM w/ 4 mags M1911 w/ 4 mags 4 bandages 2 morphine military torch map, compass and watch hunting knife enough food and water for maybe 3 days All stored in a Czech Backpack

Running it through steam. I had some issues with the original DayZ too, mainly "Cannot play / edit this mission" and constant loading screens. Got them working when I did a reinstall. Ran it using the OA beta patch last night and I could only see 2 servers, ran it through steam by adding the string below to my launch for A2:CO and it ran and showed me all of the servers, but gave me the "Cannot play / edit" message. Did a reinstall of the files and it worked, but got stuck on the loading screen, was too tired to look into it fully at the time ^^ Should be up and running tonight though! -mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion;ca;@dayz_lingor_island;@dayz_lingor

Nothing but trouble installing Lingor, same as regular DayZ... should probably stop doing the installations at midnight! I'll give it another shot tonight

They are releasing a standalone copy, and they want to get it out before Christmas using some kind of Minecraft model (release and constantly update). That was all I knew before going to find this: Interview: The standalone future of DayZ, and what it means for players | PC Gamer Now, I'm a little bit too tired to read through that, but I did read the section regarding release dates and what it'll mean for people who've purchased ARMA 2 specifically for DayZ, so give it a glance. Think I may do the same in the morning with some fresh eyes. (and imo, it is worth buying Arma2 for it if you can afford to spend £25 for a few months of game play, it's definitely moreish!)

This is my my usual response to other players too! I've met one person who was friendly on my travels, and he still shot me in the head for my bandages about an hour later. I think I've only ever had one little chunk of action I've enjoyed and it was last night. Joined a server and found myself with 5k blood from previous zombie hugging antics, started sprinting off into the dark with the flashlight on and my axe ready should I need to quickly swap. After 10 minutes or so of running around like a madman, I saw this tiny pin prick of light off in the distance. Got closer and realised it was was another player following the train tracks in the opposite direction. We saw each other, and his light went off, and a shot went out, so I turned off my light and swapped to the axe, then hit the deck. Pitch black, rifle (judging from the sound, a lee enfield) vs axe.. crawling around in some really grassy area somewhere on the east side of the island. After about 5 minutes of slowly moving around, the torch came back on behind where I'd started, but facing the other direction. Quick creep towards him and axe to the back. Netted myself a lovely rifle with a few clips, and a few bandages. Turns out he was on his way to meet up with some friends who had a jeep. Found out the hard way 10 minutes later. I'll give you an add tonight should I manage to pull myself away from either D3 or Sleeping Dogs

That's now the second recommendation for Lingor in as many days. I may have to give it a little look see. Never really got too far into DayZ, found some basic weapons and supplies, but I'm too Gung Ho on my own and get killed quite alot. I'm yet to find a capable group of people to survive with and play a bit more carefully, even from my own friend list Think I'll download it tonight, though it may be a while before my new found D3 Inferno addiction is kicked!

I was suckered by BF3, pre-ordered on Xbox, then I got a copy for free with my PS3, so traded the xbox one in. Then bought it on PC and traded the PS3 one in xD I play whenever I like really, advantage of being one of the site younglings

4 hours on medium, 4 hours on top difficulty, 2 hours for multiplayer and an hour or two for misc collectibles etc. Nice short run, good game though! I got the Hardened edition at release, due to a Play.com mistake, I also got it for free, with a free hoody too. (Which has since been stolen by the sister) Played through instantly on Veteran, took maybe 8 hours? After CoD3, there's really no challenge in Veteran for me anymore Now I just need to clear up on the Spec Ops missions.. shouldn't take too long.
-
We've got a pretty quick game turnover in our house.. you have until my stepdad fully completes the game before it gets traded in. Or at least it was, I bought his Xbox off him when he swapped to PS3, so I now have two set up for the occasional lads night in. I've started to get back into achievement hunting though, bought Darkness 2 a few weeks ago and got all of the achievements within 2 days.
-
Pay no attention to the 0 year tenure, been playing for close to 5 years now I was brought up by a stepfather with a completionist outlook when it came to games.. shame my actual achievement percentage is only around 44% of what it should be
-
I dabble.. mostly just Infection though. GT: Darc Apocalypse
-
Got it pre-purchased, first thing on the list is my DK to 90, then a pandarian monk (alliance as per usual).. Then I'll probably not play again til the next expansion as I did with Cataclysm.
-
Alredy pre-purchased, get to play the beta from Tuesday. Only ever played CS:S and wasn't very good at it at all.. only 4 hours clocked up though so I'm pinning it on that. From what I've heard from a few friends who did get in to the beta, it's pretty slick. Graphics are an improvement, but they said the game play is pretty much the same, just feels a little easier.
