we use viglen remote learning tutor here. I keep an eye on what game sites are been access way to often, and then update the internet ban list for remote learning tutor. so when the staff open it, they then activate that ban profile. It works really well for the staff and because of that they keep me informed often as possible of any problems. I try not to go as far as banning games on the cachepilot, because we have computer clubs on during lunch time, and after school. @Disease is classroom management and spector 2 completely seperate bits of software? if so do you think the staff find it a little difficult to work it?

I agree they should be disaplined for abuse and not for playing games which is why we use proper classroom monitoring software to stop them from going of track.

If you have a user policy then you should enforce it. then if you do need to ban jonny and a teacher says he needs access to internet etc, tell them he is banned and the reason why. we have a ban list here on our intranet. It has a list of people in year order, saying they are banned for this reason, and how long for.

dont think you would need to move the swap file imo. I have hunted high and low to find performance data on these. Heat was something I wondered about.

okies. I did come across this problem once on someones personal hom computer and I busted my nuts for 3 hours trying every trick/technique to make it work. In the end I had to give in to defeat and re-install XP. Worked in the end, but I've never been able to figure out what it was. the info above is what i also followed of a website.

This is simply a poor solution if line of sight is not available as he would need to get agreements with buildings in between in order to mount repeaters - which adds to latency. pluss wireless is not the most securable form of transmitting data.

Hello My little brother (12 year old) is really getting in to web development, so far i've seen him do html and php. He seems to enjoy the php side of things, so i was thinking about buying a beginers book for php. He has so far followed tutorials on websites and has even done his own stuff. I really want to embrace and help him along. so my question is, what book would be best for him? naturally i dont want to over complicate things for him and scare him off. this will be a christmas present cheers gang

I've heard apple are cracking down on people unlocking the phone to use with another network provider. apparently people who unlock their phones will not be able to update the phones with latest firmware/software. If they do, then phone is then left useless and can void your warranty. This is something i've heard on the grape vine.
