does it save any configuration files to the application data?

sounds like teacher has his/her knickers in a twist. teaching staff have access to kids work but only have read permissions. we have work post box for each member of staff, which allows the kids to drop course work in when done. ICT teaching staff have portable hard drives which my self or the network manager copy the kids work to for review. they only do this to take work home over holiday and weekends. (the data is password protected) I think if data is lost, not protected ie encypted/password protectd or given to people with out the owners concent then you are breaking the DPA

or even tried connecting a monitor to the laptop?

setup a workpost box for all staff so kids can drag work from there my documents to the techers post box. teacher can then inspect and print at later date if needed.

It comes down to poor classroom management imo. I've attached a memo that was sent out recently to the staff who use our maths computer suite. so far its be looked after much better.memo_re_use_of_maths_ict_resource_centre.doc

cleared your internet cache? proxy? have you tried .com, .net etc? can you logon to msn messenger? disabled firewall(s)

either go to the manufacture and see what updates their is or replace the card

hmm If i save to my documents then its fine but soon as i try to save in to folder that is deeper in tree structure i.e. my documents|my work|ict|ocr|unit 1|task 2| then it brings up the following error.

The kids are getting the following Random error when saving there fireworks file 'could not complete your request internal error occured fireworks 8' has anyone come across this and managed to fix the error? So far i've tred getting them to save to local disk c: instead of there Mydocuments tried diffrent fonts like i say this error is random so i'm finding it hard to pinpoint what it could be any suggestions? thank you

Is it crashing when kids use sites that have flash content. this happend alot on the cbeebies bbc site so i updated the flash and shockwave apps. that fixed the problem.

I think the more info the better russ from installing to adding patches to common trouble shooting... eeeek is that asking to much? It would be appreciated

Yep DNS, IP, computer turned off etc can send things ass over tit. I updated my grandads server using remote assistance, went to do a restart and i clicked shut down by mistake. couldnt reconect lol

maximum remote desktop connections is 2, sounds like a time out issue. has all the remote patches been applied to the server? If sessions have been disconnected with-out being logged off, the server may consider its concurrent connection limit reached even though there are not two human users connected at the time. An administrator might, for example, close a remote session without logging off. If two more administrators attempt to connect to the server, only one will be allowed to connect before the limit of two concurrent connections is reached.
