Thanks for your reply. The existing two domains is a VLAN for the curriculum and the admin networks.. Will it just be a matter of putting in another LGFL firewall at the new site and that will link directly to the other. It has been mentioned about getting setting different subnets at the new site, but I'm not sure what the value is in doing this?

Hi All, This is a preliminary enquiry. The school is looking to acquire another site circa 2 miles away and would like for users at that site to be able to use their current domain login accounts to access their respective domains, namely Admin or Curriculum on the servers located at the main/current school location. Please can you advise on the most straight forward way for this to be achieved, taking into account we current LGFL2 and have a 10MB line. PS. I am trying to avoid purchasing more servers. Any help greatly appreciated

I need a bit of help and guidance please... Just getting 25 ipads, a charging sync trolley, mac mini server and will set up profiles with Configurator.. Can someone one tell me the best way to transfer and save data from the ipads before their profiles are synced and reset each night? Thanks in advance. EN4

Epson emp82 Smartboard 500 Smartboard software 11 The projector displays only it's menu on screen and not what is showing on the laptop. Laptop set to duplicate and tried another laptop. If you touch the blank smartboard screen it operates the laptop screen. I have changed the vga and usb cables. Can anyone suggest what the issue is likely to be? All help appreciated. Thanks EN4

If anyone can have a stab at the remaining points, I'd really appreciate it. I just ran Apple Configuator on a friend's make, setting up a dummy profile etc. Got a bit more of a feel for it now and quite impressed. Still not too clear on the supervise and assign sections. Thanks. Is that using some sort of a remote desktop app from a Windows pc?. Can I use any type of screen, kb and mouse for the initial setup? Think the school want to go with iPad mini's if this makes any difference to any of the above. Cheers EN4

This may sound stupid, but does the Mac Mini plug into the charging trolley to centrally manage the pads or is it just done over the same wifi network? Will i need a screen, kb and mouse or just remote onto it? Is there any real advantage with a mac mini with server os x as opposed to a non server operating system? Couldn't I just use a mac laptop to do the same job.? Thanks for all your help and patients with me.. Me is learning fast! :-) EN4

Hi, yes these ipad minis are for class use. So would i need a mac mini to run the Apple Configurator and a sync charging trolley? I don't normally do Apple, so is it easy to set up and run under a Windows 2k3 domain or would I not be joining the mac mini to the domain and just be using the wireless connection? Any step by step procedures for getting this set up would be greatly appreciated. Thank you EN4

Currently in the process of a wireless setup for a small secondary school , 400 kids , old building, with 200 wireless clients and need to choses between either Cisco Aironet 1140 or CleanAir Access Points.
