That is excactly why after the job interview even though I did not get it I explained this problem with the site as for the pupil's and parents of that school they would be very concerned and if it was my child that was in these pictures then I would not want people to have access to it. However, I could have hung them out to the cleaners with safeguarding and Data protection as you mention. But as you say very worrying.

I completely agree, but unsure if it was the school hosting or a professional company. If it was a professional company that did the site you would hope they would have switched it off as there is no one technical at the school. But like kids people dont get that uploading your picture from your 10meg camera means a beautiful image at A1 size !!!

Do you know which model Toshibas?

Thanks for the advice but is that now an old model? Is it now the 4540s equivalent? The AmD chip is slower than i3, is that correct?

That is better than I have been quoted - who gave you that please? -
I know they are more money but who else apart from Dell offers the same warranty on their monitors?
-
Did you get that from Smart as we were told differently when we enquired?
-
Similar to epson 485wi but that does not have touch. We have lots of smart boards but have epson interactive projectors. What's the rule with smart notebook as we have site licences for them. I have heard that even with this you can't use notebook on a non smart interactive display?

We use HP they cost more but are much better at sharing the load, Meraki are very good too. They are not cheap but if they follow the trolley then it's far cheaper than whole school wireless.

I agree money wise but would you keep them in a main ICT suite for 5 years or roll them to other parts of the school after 3 years for example.
-
What models are you using. Their monitors are great but expensive.

What dell machines are people using ? Also 5 years is along time, how many people are running computers for 5 years effectively. Is a three or 4 year rolling replacement not the norm please?
-
I must be being dumb where is that?
-
The website seems useless for Dell schools though to get prices and product info. Do you just go straight to phoning them?

The HP envyx2 is atom and 800 pounds

I have windows 8 on last years dell duo with an Intel® Atom™ Processor N570 (1M Cache, 1.66 GHz) flip screen. Runs win8 perfectly and all of 2013 and lots of other software. That was only 350 new last christmas that computer. But they stopped making it. Their new version - albeit with a bigger screen and better processor is 1000 pounds. Stick with my duo
-
I agree with the principle of what you say but I think the cost of the full surface win 8 is going to be about 800 pounds if the HP envyx2 is anything to go by.
