when its all unplugged the only wires you should have left to plug back into the old stereo are the big fat blue wire (standard areil) and the brown & black plugs in pic 5 everything else should be removed once it's all removed follow the wires from the stereo back to the first lot of connectors and let me know what plug is there (post up a picky) and we should be able to advise on the cable you need Cheers Andy

nope thats what i get to have spoken to tech support and it only happens with IE. I havn't been able to get it working i have tried setting IE to do not cache proxy settings on a per user basis but still no luck If you get it working let me know how please Andy

i was looking at the work that i might have to do over the holidays no biggie will just go back to 2005 but it would have been nice to have 6 weeks to play with sims on sql 2008 rarther than just having it dumped on us in october... teach me to planm ahead....

nope single user didnt work... looks like im taking sql2008 off and reinstalling my test rig :rolleyes:ho hum

yep march 09 runs fine on sql2008 will have to try locking sql to single user will report back soon... I know i would not want to be having to jump straight to sql2008 without testing it first ....

well Ive just tried to do the June Upgrade on my test system running SQL2008/sp1 and the march version of sims And it's not playing: reading supportnet you need solus "2.whatever" But the version thats on the ISO is ver 1.19 the install keeps failing with backup failed no_log not supported I cant find docs on supportnet to help and since there fix for locked backups only applies to sql 2005 im stuck Anybody got any ideas? ok just had the same issue Exchange 2003 ISA 2006 exchange published through ISA to OWA using ssl now the good bit to get it to work get the user of the blackberry to logon to ther BIS account and follow the add email setup picking the OWA option and i will supply the settings url :https://your.owaURL.com/exchange for all the other boxs put in there email ie instead of domain\username put [email protected] this is assuming there username is the same as there email address fill in the password and click next.... that should solve the problem.. getting address book and calander now thats somthing else im still working on it the issue is that isa uses forms and rim/blackberrys dont like them Andy

This was my solution to the problem the important bit is step 5 it wont work if you just restor the database using dbattach. you need to run dbattach /RESTOREUI. 3. Install Sims.net using the default installation guide as included on the cd. 4. When setting up set the sysman password to the default sysman password ( This is important as without it you will not be able to log in to sims. 5. Restore a copy of the database from the live Sims System running on CS1. To restore the database first unzip the backup file (using winrar) and make a note of the location of the files. Open a command prompt and navigate to C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Binn Once in the Binn folder Type DBAttach /RESTOREUI and press Enter. Within the DBAttach interface that has opened select the bottom restore option and browse to the Backup files that were unziped . Restore the file. 6. ReBoot the laptop. 7. Loginto Sims.net using the sysman username and password that were created in step 4 and edit the location of the Document server to point at the local install of Sims.net 8. Copy the contents of the Doc server from CS1 to the Local install of Sims.net to allow all reporting to function properly. 9. Navigate to your normal username from within Sims.net – System manager and change your password . then Log off 10. Log on to Sims.net with your normal username Glad you got sorted Andy

ISA 2004 Can anybody help me with Sims.net and ISA 2004? The setup we have is Sims.net on 2003 server accessing the outside world via ISA 2004 (on 2003 server) The Sims box has the ISA client on it. And we have checked the Keys and passwords with the LEA. The problem I’ve got is that when Sims tries to dial home (LEA) on a scheduled task it first tries to authenticate using GET which is anonymous and the ISA box denies anonymous connections. Things I’ve tried. Setting the Proxy settings in Sims (tried Sims manager, domain admin, and local admin.) Removing the proxy settings. Leaving Sims logged in on the server and just disconnecting my session. I’ve tried creating rules in ISA to allow all outgoing from the Sims Box Isa rules to allow (as a tempory measure) all traffic both from and too the Sims Box. The only thing I’ve found that works is to allow anonymous authentication on the internal network which is a bit annoying as I like to know who’ connecting to what and where. So can anybody help me get the scheduled tasks to work through ISA Without having to have anonymous access enabled? Thanks Andy
