  2. why cant they lock them behind them! It's not their job. but common sense tells you that if you unclock it you should lock it when you go through it. and also school rules dictate that you should leave everything as you found it, or are teachers exempt??
  3. doors have closures, and all members of staff have keys! they open them why cant they lock them behind them!
  4. wonder around this morning, doors unlocked, which they shouldnt be, but no damage from what i can see... Do you guys have trouble with some members of staff using classrooms as walk throughs and not locking them behind them?
  5. What punishments have SLT been issuing to students for damage that they are court committing? Also what have they said to staff, when damage is a regular occurence in the lesson?

  10. anything you guys have done to get more staff to be vigilant on this topic, but as most of the ict suite rooms are on the room booking system, it has became an issue when trying to find out which class has caused the damage as things don't always get reported?
  11. we have all the it rooms on the generic classroom key so they all have access.. some still don't lock the doors. and if they are not timetabled into the rooms they book tjem via roombookingsystem.co.uk and also we use impero which records logins, but staff don't let us know until the damage mounts up. also we got an email yesterday.. "You do realise that a lot of things will still not be reported as even I often do not have time to log on to my e-mail during the lesson if I am only here for 1 lesson or have time to write the e-mail while I should be teaching" which is quite anyoing as if they don't report the computers as not working then they will complain that they are unable to teach as the computers are not working...
  12. The Rooms are supposedly supervised, but we don't understand how a whole row of keyboards can be cut/swapped around damaged.... We don't want to go down the cctv route as the teachers may complain about privacy ect... The school is quite hot on damage atm as £3000 worth of maintinace in the toilets was trashed after 2 days.
  13. Hi all. We are experiencing alarming amounts of damage in a few of the IT Rooms, admitiativley some of them are quite old and are due for replacements over the summer, however the head may not allow us to do them until the damage has decreased. Also rooms that are only 2-3 years old that are not slow are also getting damaged. Keyboards, Mice being cut. cables being unplugged... We have put all of the PCs on brackets under the desk to try to stop them damaging the PCs but they always unplug them! What are you guys doing to deter/stop damage to your machines? Many Thanks B
