Office 365 apps rely on a subscription for licensing and so don't use product keys - i.e. KMS/MAK. To use Office 365 apps you need Azure AD SSO enabled for the app to license against the user seamlessly when it is opened, providing the user has the correct license assigned, or your machines need to be Azure AD Hybrid connected for you to be able to use device based licensing.

Any information on which external USB NIC adapter to get and what BIOS settings to change would be gratefully received :)

Thanks for the update, at least I know it's not just us it's affecting and that it's a wider MS issue. Hope they fix it soon, it's a very useful feature and the staff soon missed it when they realised it wasn't working. Looks like its stopped working sometime over the weekend just gone.

We have started to make use of the Request Files feature in MS OneDrive to allow teachers to create a file structure in their OneDrive environment that students can then submit work to remotely via a URL link. We have noticed today though that the request files button in OneDrive has stopped working, when you click it nothing happens. It's supposed to then open a small window asking you what you're requesting but nothing appears. It looks like a MS user interface issue with the OneDrive website which hopefully they'll get sorted soon. Anyone else having this issue?

Did you get any further with this? We're using Cubase 10 and want to prevent it using the roaming profile to help speed up loading times.

At last I have it working!!! I didn't realise you had to put the full path to the xml file on the second half of the command after /download. I was just putting configuration.xml and it wasn't getting it. With the full path (eg c:\odt\configuration.xml) it worked first time. My command: C:\>c:\odt\setup.exe /download c:\odt\configuration.xml

I've been trying to get it to download all morning with varying config xml files but whenever I try all I get is the following error. Any one else seen this at all? I have uninstalled previous versions of office from my machine before i started. Edit: I have also tried this on a brand new stand alone clean VM as well as my machine at home which is not connected to any systems. Still get the same error message.

Thanks for your help guys. I couldnt get the script to run locally on my machine so I ran it in a completely fresh install of Windows 10 on a VM, I was then able to run the script. It seemed to be running ok and I could see apps being romved but when it came to doing hte unmounting I got alot of what can be seen below. Is this normal or not?

Extreme powershell noob here, trying to run the PS and returns the following error I have the PS script in the same folder as the ISO. Am I missing something here or have I completely misunderstood what I am supposed to be doing.

To use the Tutor console so that it uses the same settings for each user that logs on you need to add the following reg entry: Location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Productive Computer Insight\pcictl\ VlaueType: String ValueName: NSSuseHKLM Value: 1 To get the pcictl location in the registry I've found that I have to run the tutor console, edit a setting and close the program. When you open it again you should have that location in the regisrty. Please be aware that you will be required to re-enter the configurational changes you wish to apply to the Tutor software the first time that you open the Tutor Console after adding this entry. To configure the Tutor Console to save the files that it uses into the All Users | Application Data location please tick the "Use shared data files" option in the menu School >> Configuration >> Administration >> Profile >> Edit >> Advanced screen.

I would have thought you could go straight to 5.0 but you would have to read up on the upgrade centre of the sophos website to be 100% sure. Personally in your situation though I would be inclined to ditch what you have, set yourself up a clean server ( easy if you use VM's) and do yourself a fresh install of v 5.0 of sophos. From there you can build your own policies and know exactly what your blocking, scanning for etc... If you stick with upgrading what you have you might not know about some setting that has been buried in a policy somewhere that is stopping something from working.

One bug I have noticed from the upgrade is that on a the Application Control policy if you had blocked a category but then authorised some select programs from that category, after the upgrade they were put back into the unauthorised list. This happened for me just where I noticed I didnt have the usual amount of machine in NetSupport. Deploying the NS client again didnt make any difference. Sophos was the only thing changed recently so I checked out the policy and noticed this. Authorised the category and I am now able to push the client out again and see the machined in NS. I will see the next time the machines are rebooted if the rest of them start to pop in now the client has been authorised to run.

Installed the update on the server really easily. For the moment I have created a new Update policy for version 10 of the Anti-Virus and deployed it to a few of the smaller areas of the school to see how it goes before pushing it to all 550 machines, so far though it doesnt seem to be causing any fuss, nothing's stopped working so far. Will monitor it for the rest of the week and probably deploy fully next week.

How large are the Profiles? Is there any redirection in place to save data in the home directory, instead of the profile?
