I've seen this when it was hanging on loading the pdf architect plugin. Removed that and it was zooming -
Hello, Is there anyway for the google apps website to auto login with my windows credentials? We have a special google apps splash page login and it would great if students on domain machines could go there and have it auto login.

Finally figured it out. Turns out it was a permissions issue where it wouldn't mount to the root of their share but would map to sub folders. Changed the permissions and now it mounts the home directory correctly and has the link in the dock working
-
You might be surprised.. It's happened at least once.

Okay so maybe I was light on the information. Here's what I know (little) In AD the home folder is \\ccrsb-01\Schools\Students_Home\HHS\thhsstu From my understanding in OSX ( This machine is running 10.10) it takes your home directory and links to it in the dock. On this machine it shows up as a question mark. If I manually connect to \\ccrsb-01\Schools\Students_Home\HHS\thhsstu it doesn't work but going to //ccrsb-01/Schools/Students_Home/HHS/thhsstu lets me see all the home directory files. Ya about that force local home directory...... Just checked and my eyes were skipping over the fact that it was checked. Possibly because it was greyed out. Looking at that now.

Hello, It looks like when I bind my macs to active directory ( windows server 2012 r2) it is not correctly reading their home directory location. Does anyone know if you need to specify it in a certain place/way for it to map correctly?

Smartboard won't go green and unable to save

Have you tried updating the smartboards firmware. I find old versions cause random issues occasionally. -
90 SMART Boards all no longer responding to touch in a week!

There is a setting buried in the smart notebook program that disables touch on the smart boards. That may be worth checking out -
Adventures in Macland... my experiences with ConfigMgr 2012 and Macs Part 1

I'm about to have a go at this in our environment. Here goes nothing. -
The key step I was missing (among other things) was that I needed to prestage the computer in active directory first I've now got it working on 10.9

Do I have to install anything server side for them to get on the domain? My machines give me a 5200 error about not finding the authentication server

Hello, We're switching our mostly windows desktop enviroment from Netware to Server 2012 R2 and SCCM. We do have a handful (100) of OSX machines. Are there any quick guides or best practises to putting these on the domain and "managing" them? I'm assuming it is possible to have these on the domain. I'm just starting to look into it now.

I might have a copy if you are still looking for one.

Sadly I can't help you but I'm interested in the solution. My lab keeps getting set to speak the time every quarter

Okay I've got it working now.

I'm having the same gallery shared folder problem. Have you found a solution to this yet?

I'm looking to install printers through MDT 2013. We're switching from Novell Netware (gasp) to Windows Server 2012 R2. For our first couple schools before we assign printers through GPO's we are just going to create applications for each printer install. I have a list of serial numbers of each computer and what printers it needs. What I thought about doing was having a spreadsheet for each printer containing the serial numbers of each machine that needs to print to it. Then making an application for each printer. What I was then thinking to assign the printers to machines was to have a powershell script check the machine's serial number when it's being imaged and then look into the printers csv file to see if the serial number is in there. If it is then it would install that printer application and if not it would just move on. I'm new at powershell though and wonder if there is a script out there that would do what I'm talking about. I'm also open to better ways of doing this if they are out there. Thanks.

Free780 I owe you some beer. Poked around and changed a local name to a full fqdn name in our MDT settings and things are working great at the remote sites. Thanks. We owe you -
