Any chance you can post the script? we have a virus on a vanilla network and I think we will need to clean all the profiles, hopefully a script will make that alot easier and faster

We have not been successful here and unfortunately have had another school which has been infected, the problem is with the local cached profiles reinfecting the server. Shame that I cant go in during the summer as the head refuses to pay for the extra service, maybe on the last day of term or when we get back from the summer holidays

@theforce thank you for clearing that up, I too am looking for a script to use at a school I cover every 2 weeks. I might try and create something myself, will post it up if I am successful

Hi, I currently use RM CC3/CC4 and use the "Clean Profile" feature alot when we get profile corruption etc I wanted to know how this can be done on a vanilla server 2003 network. The way i understand how CC3 cleans the profile is that it copies the profile files from a default user and overwrites the files for the chosen user. Hence all their settings are set back to the default way. I have had some colleagues in the past who create a new user profile and copy all the documents etc. If anyone knows how it works and if there are any scripts out there already for this I would greatly appreciate it.

I work with server 2003 and want to test some things in the VM before trying it out live, I will also do a server 2008 install to learn in the near future

I have recently created a test VM network and was wondering if anyone knows a good User creation script that I can use to create users, I have used RM networks and they make life very easy with the RMMC. I understand that it has to be written in vbs but was wondering if there is something out there already which i can use

What happens when autorun is disabled but the users double click the drive in My Computer - does it not do the same thing, the virus will still get onto the computer etc?

As i suspected its the autorun.inf virus, however RMVP4 does not pick the virus up (what crap!), I am having to clean the server using Sophos, but now have issues with local profiles. Hard work but its gotta be done

Im having the exact same problem, were you able to get this working? I suspect the autorun.inf virus but scanned the server and there is nothing detected

Ill try and remove all the drivers, I have tried the CD and the latest but still the same problem

Hi All, I have an odd issue which i cant work out... I need to install the drivers for the graphics card on a windows XP machine (Nvidia Geforce 7300) but when the drivers are installed (latest drivers from the nvidia site) on reboot windows fails to boot. It completely freezes on apply settings and thats it. The only way back into the system is to choose "Last know configuration" Any ideas why this is happening? I would have thought that a simple driver install would be simple...
