Hello all, As the title says, my students like to email entire groups and its getting tiresome. I setup what I thought was the block with content compliance within Gmail but its not working and wonder if someone could take a look please and tell me where I'm going wrong. Just want students to not be able to email year7@.... for example. Thank you all

we have always gone for 1 year options and renewed every year. We checked and the paperwork all says 1 year.

What a muddle. After their handling of the initial order I want away from the supplier them but could do with the renewal notice. Moving supplier often takes a few weeks of paperwork. Could anyone recommend an email address for contacting the MS licence department? Their call center staff are great at allocating keys but don't fancy explaining this one down the phone to them.

So I have a conundrum... Last year there was a last minute problem with my MS renewal. Won't bore you with the details but the supplier messed it up and it was all very 11th hour stuff and we took our normal 1 year contract term. Forward onto 2020 and I come in expecting my 90 day renewal notice like every year in my inbox but nothing. I sign into the VLC and see our licence expires in 2022, making it a 3 year one but we only paid for 1 year. We went back, double checked the paperwork and it was definitely for a 1 year contract with no small print. My question is have I got away with this and have 3 years for the price of 1 or will someone inevitably figure it out and randomly cancel my contract? On advice of my finance team I casually emailed the supplier and asked when my renewal will be and they said the end of February so will contact me nearer the time but as I said, no MS email. If I do have to renew then it would be with a different company after the problems I had but that's going to be hard without MS requesting a renewal. Thoughts?

Morning all, We're in the middle of migrating from Exchange onsite to Gmail and am looking at setting up DKIM but wondered if there is any downside to using it. I only ask because I talked to our ISP about adding the required txt to our domain's DNS and they said "yes it's a good idea but can cause issues". I'm not a man who needs issues so just want to take the tentative approach to this although it looks as simple as adding the txt key to our DNS... Any gotchas I should know about? Should I wait until we are fully on Gmail? Thank you all.

Hello all, Using file stream successfully around the school but have hit a problem with my administrative staff using desktops where you sign in and its perfect but every time they restart it asks them to sign in again. I have changed the cache location using the registry however that does not work. I'm guessing its down to it storing the settings in local appdata which is a pain for me but is there a way around this? Thank you

Thank you for that. Didn't exactly work however it put me on the right path. Had to Set-ADObject -Identity ***full distinguishedName*** -Description 'this is a description' Think my problem was I was looking at it as a mail object rather than an AD one. Thanks again.

Seems things have changed and now I have removed the "erase user data on logoff" setting, reporting who last used the device works. Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

Hi, I have the recent users section but its blank for every chromebook. I do have the "delete data on logoff" setting which I guess is the cause but seem to remember it made the login page a mess if you didnt do that. Going to grab my test Chromebook and do some testing. Thanks

Its odd because if you choose not to erase all local user data on logoff it populates the logon screen with endless user account names. Will play tomorrow.

Hi all, Tried over the years to push Solus 3 out to new computers via cmd during the build or msi and just can not get it right and wonder if anyone has a sure fire way of it working? Have created an offline installer through the Solus 3 system which has a .bat file with all the settings within however it needs user input which I do not want. I added /quiet to the end and although no popup appears there is no installation. I amended the msi with Orca to include the correct information and although this installs, it does not start correctly and does not install SIMS. Also tried msexec but maybe I have the wrong switches... Really wondered if anyone can get this to install automatically without SCCM. Any thoughts or pointers would be appreciated. Thanks

Is there a way to see who used a Chromebook last that I am missing? If I have to setup some kind of third party system to monitor it I will but seems overkill. Just wondered if there is a report in Google admin I am missing as to me seeing the last few users should just be built in? Thanks

Hi All, Loyal Veeam user for about 8 years and love it but got a licencing problem and finding it a pain to get fixed (something about licence administrators?) so wonder what other backup software you recommend (good change it will work out but good time to check alternatives). Looking for an easy solution which just works and not quite ready to go full cloud yet. Thank you
