The attendance officer of a school I support wants the SITTS Attendance Primary 2017 – 18. Have asked SIMS support who say go to the local authority. The local authority bounced them back to SIMS support. Does anyone have that report that I could have a copy of please...or at least point me to where I can find. Would appreciate any help!

Check out http://www.relaxyourdataissafe.co.uk...its cloud backup run by Education & It Ltd, they're doing really well in the west midlands area. Its a managed service in that they install their software and they take care of it all. So if anything were to go wrong, or go over quota they get in touch with you to tell you...add to that the use a 120 day retention policy...how much space would you need to store that much data??

i take it you havent had much luck with extensions.joomla.org....I concur that JEvents is the best of the free ones...otherwise bite the bullet and spend a little cash!

Try this...low level format the HD using a utility like Powermax...once your HD is all 1 and 0's, format using NTFS, FAT32...whatever you need and then try ghosting it again!

Completely agree with simpsonj... there are many dingy little shops around with really old Compaq workstations in the windows....a lot of these places are run by people who havent a clue!!!

I am in desperate need of TDS Activboard drivers...yes I have seen the thread that says go to Promethean World. The drivers for a TDS board are no longer available and a phone call to their support line said that they no longer support the TDS board...which kinda stupid since loads of school still have the old TDS boards in place...capitalism at work ladies and gentlemen..."we wont support it so you got to buy a new one!!" If anyone can help me out I would be grateful!

I am at a loss...I've been bashing my head against the walls...running up em and down and I cant get a definitive answer. Colour Laser Printers...which one do you get....dont't like HP's because the life of the consumables are rubbish...dont want OKI's..good printers but I cant justify the toners, drums, transfer belt, fuser, thats 10 bits that will require changing...I personally have a Samsung and I'm not impresses...I've know Kyocera's in the past and have damned them all for being unreliable, the same for Brother's, Canon's and Epson. Finally, I'm thinking...the school have a Ricoh copier under lease, what about a colour laser under a similar agreement?...Does anyone else use Ricoh colour lasers and what are your impressions???

I need to find a MIS solution that works....what is everyone using out there??? I know about CMIS, SIMS.net, Integris, Pearson Phoenix. Can anyone recommend any product

Add your drivers to the build area....the following has been pasted from their tech articles. If you havent got RM Support recommend that you get some...when CC3 is working its fantastic....when it goes wrong...liable to bring on heart attacks!!!!!! Symptoms Introduction This document explains how to add drivers using the RM Station Build Manager. It covers both adding DOS drivers so that the build disk will connect with the server and adding XP drivers to be installed during the unattended install. Procedure Adding drivers Log on to the server as an Administrator. Open RM Station Build Manager from Start\Programs\RM Workstation Rebuild at the server. The Drivers Folder will be displayed in the tree view in left hand pane and can be expanded to show the drivers that have been installed for Microsoft® Windows® XP OS (and any later OS) as well as the DOS network drivers. Select Build Disk Network Card. The right hand pane will display the list of installed drivers. This pane displays the user given name with a driver icon and description and the driver date. These are DOS network drivers that can be selected by the custom build disks. Select Windows XP, the left hand pane will be expanded to show a list of the type of XP drivers that you can add (Sound, Display, Motherboard, Network, Other, Scsi). When a driver type is selected such as Display the right hand pane will display 2 columns, the user given name and description. Drivers can be deleted by right clicking the driver and selecting delete. To add a driver right click the left hand pane on one of the types (ie Sound) and select Add Driver. The following screen is displayed: XP Drivers that are added by RM updates are stored in: d:\RMNetwork\RMManage\RMRebuild\XPBuild\RMdrv. Updates that are added for specific sites are added to the CUDrv folder. When adding XP drivers you need to browse to the path where the .inf file for the drivers you want to install is located, the contents of this folder and all sub-folders will be copied to the CUDrv folder. Adding network card drivers When a driver is added by right clicking 'Build Disk Network Cards' or 'Network' (NET) the following dialog is displayed. The driver name is limited to eight characters, this is because its used via DOS, although XP drivers for the network card can also be added using this screen. The folder containing the DOS network driver must contain a .DOS file and a protocol.ini file. On clicking OK the fields are checked and if an error is found the relevant field is highlighted and the dialog remains displayed. The checks that are made are: Check that the driver name does not exist. Check that the folder given for the drivers contains an .inf or a .DOS and protocol.ini file. Check that the driver name does not contain any illegal characters. If the information on the dialog is acceptable a copy of the driver is made. A new folder is created with the name c_givenName and the driver files from the given folder are copied into this folder. The DOS drivers for the build disks are stored in D:\RMNetwork\RMManage\RMRebuild\Build Manager\dosdrv.

Hey Chris, This company has been going for 3yrs now. We have never experienced anything like that ebriefing before...so why now? We can only look on it in a positive light, because thanks to ebriefing every school, children centre and any other place it went to, now know that Education and IT Ltd exists. Whether people see us favourably or not; people will still say "we've heard of you!"....and thats something we can work with.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the edugeek world (of which I am a proud member). This thread will apply more for Birmingham and West Midlands members more than others, but all are welcome to use this forum to express an opinion. Education and IT Ltd is a tech support company that specialise in IT in schools, because thats were our experience is. This company is now a target for Link2ICT (Birmingham LEA backed IT company!!!!) to take pot shots at. This was evident with an ebreifing sent out on the 6th of Feb. Despite other companies working in schools as well as Education and IT Ltd, we have been singled out for this attack...but you cant buy better publicity than that...the competition letting its clients know that there is an alternate provider...LOL!!! This thread I hope will help realise that in a free market economy, Education and IT Ltd havent done wrong except setup in competition with a company that until recently had no competition. Enjoy!

Perhaps Chris your're a little slow but in my last post I did say that we dont call ourselves "Edit" but Education and IT Ltd. Also a little bit of history for you....Prof Tim Brighouse was the visionary who established a tech service at the LEA for schools. When the organisation currently Link2ICT was called Education I.T. it was a leader in the field. Whoever told you it Education I.T. was delivering a bad service has got it wrong. Furthermore...this thread was started by Jarmin100 asking what business does Link2ICT have in knowing what school is doing what and with whom...I believe that was answered. If you wanna discuss Education and IT Ltd...I'll start another thread and lets take it from there.

First of all I need to clarify that I am in fact a director of the company "Edit" that has so famously been introduced to Birmingham schools by the ebriefing posted 6/2/2009....and to clarify even further we are Education & IT Ltd and not "edit". We never introduce ourselves as "edit"...although it was cheeky to piggy back the branding already in place by the previous entity! We are ex-Link2ICT technicians that have decided it was time to take the risk and work for ourselves and what better market to put ourselves in than the one we know well....I.T. in schools. Need some advice as what's being used for internet monitoring in schools. A lot is very expensive particular for primary schools. Any suggestions or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
