  1. Hi, I work on the Technical HelpDesk at Sherston Software. I’m very sorry to hear that this has been causing you some frustration. It looks as though you might be installing the software to – and running it from – a network share? If this is the case, you can use relative paths within the initialisation file – e.g.: Datapath=appdata\ Savepath=saves\ If you do encounter problems with Sherston Software titles, we're available by telephone on 01666 843224 and email to [email protected] from 0830 to 1700, Monday to Friday (bank holidays excepted!)
  2. Hi, I work on the Technical HelpDesk at Sherston Software - many thanks for the positive feedback regarding our service earlier in this thread. We aim to please! This is a problem that occurs when trying to run Sherston Software titles from the same installation, on more than one workstation simultaneously (e.g. when running the program from a network share). It occurs because the first workstation locks the SWF files in the appdata subdirectory of the installation folder, preventing subsequent workstations from opening the files. In many instances, this can be resolved by applying the read-only attribute to the appdata folder after exiting all instances of the software that are running (people are often caught out by attempting to apply this whilst a workstation is running the software - which doesn't work). If this doesn't resolve the problem for you, this should: 1. Exit all instances of the program running on your network. 2. Browse into the installation folder. Right-click the appdata folder and select Properties. 3. Click the Security tab. If the Security tab is not available, see the Additional Information section (below). Important Note: Users of Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 or later should click the Edit button on the Security tab in order to edit permissions. 4. Select the Everyone group. If the Everyone group is not present in the list: • Click the Add button. • Enter Everyone in the Enter the object names to select: box. • Click OK. 5. Place a tick in the Deny box against Write in the Permissions for Everyone. 6. Click Apply and then click OK. If you do encounter problems with Sherston Software titles, we're available by telephone on 01666 843224 and email to [email protected] from 0830 to 1700, Monday to Friday (bank holidays excepted!)
  3. Hi Phil - I'm very sorry to hear that you've been having some difficulties with Mouse Club Collection on Windows 7. Unfortunately, Mouse Club Collection isn't compatible with Windows Vista or Windows 7. I'm very sorry for any difficulties that this might cause! I'd love to suggest an alternative but there aren't any very close matches in the Sherston range - Picture Box does cover some similar areas but isn't really age-appropriate. Let us know if there's anything else that we can do to help - you can reach us by email to [email protected] or by telephone on 01666 843224.
  4. I do live in Malmesbury. If you're comfortable with leaving your bicycle outside, a lot of people use the railings in Birdcage Walk which is just next to Abbey News. I believe that there are also a couple of points intended for bicycles outside of the Three Cups in the Triangle. There may be some bicycle racks near to the town hall and library (which the bus stops are practically next to). I’ll check it out over the weekend for you and let you know!
