Still loving it here. SPECIAL system is still in place, its basically the same just laid out differently, I quite like the new way it is done, it really seems to be a nice balance of increasing your SPECIAL stats and taking a perk. Karma is more individual now, rather than have an overarching good/bad vibe going on it feels like its tied to individuals and factions. You get dragon age type "Bob approves greatly" messages that come up when you take certain dialog options. The missions are not linear from what I have noticed, Loads of POI's on the map and free to just wonder off and have fun. Some perks are locked behind a linear level/SPECIAL cap, but i think this adds to the character building, i went high perception/agility since i like sniping and stealthiness in these games but i found myself taking other perks which means i have been putting points into charisma. Weapons don't degrade, but I feel like they moved some of that aspect of the gameplay to ammo supply, you still need to choose when its worth using your sniper of your pistol. Anyone else using dogmeat as a suicide super mutant huger? whenever I see one i just send him in the lemming and kill as much as possible, I feel quite bad about it afterwards!

Depends where you are I guess, I branch mined a fair bit and if I'm looking for something specific i will leave a lot behind. Also it could be the tunnel to peoples bases that was made, lots of ore still in those.

I have mine set up in the deep dark running off a tesseract, there is a portal in my base if you wanted to do the same. Much higher ore count.

I love the ambiance of the game as well, when you approach an area and can hear a raging gun battle in the distance, the dialog from enemies when you are stealthing around and they loose sight of you. I overheard some bandits having an argument at one point. Although radiation storms/fog are a pain.

Did you give this a go? Quite interested to see if its just something i found helped or not.

Java is weird is the best explanation, I know 32 bit only supports 4GB, 64bit can handle more. When i tested it out using RR3 i found reducing the initial ram actually improved performance, so i have mine on 3gb.

Give it more ram if you can, but not more than 4gb or that can cause issues too.

Played it all last night. It's awesome. No issues on the PC yet, I did pre-disable the godrays though. The storyline (no spoilers!) that I have seen so far feels pretty engaging, I haven't progressed down the main line at all and still doing side stuff near the starting area. Building the settlements is actually pretty fun, i expected it to be very gimmicky and just to have 1 or 2 areas in the game that you can build, I was wrong on that front. I think i have had the ending spoiled, people seem to be posting it anywhere they can, i think i saw it on a news article comment section

Likewise! in fact i was feeling rough yesterday, after you sorted the minecraft stuff out i headed to bed (around 6pm my time). 8 hours of work till fallout..

PC, mods make these kind of games, I know they said they will be available on consoles but I bet its limited and regulated.

The enderquarry in the deep dark has been flooding my AE network with ores, might stop putting them through the sag mill just to reduce what I'm getting. Thankfully my smelter is a lot more automated now so just pumping out blocks rather than ingots. Started on a enderman farm which failed so will have to be rebuilt bigger, hoping to get a steady stream of ender pearls for a chunk loader that i can switch on while I'm out and about. I also found out Draconic armour is way overpowered, i messed up the unstable ingot's and survived the explosion! didn't even do any damage.

the vibration chamber is just a ae generator, you can use powered growth accelerators to speed it up.

Manganese and iron in the tinkers smelter is the easiest way, not found any yet though. I think i have plenty of manyllulyn spare if you wanted to make yourself some tinkers tools.

I killed the chaos dragon last night, that was a tough fight! but got another 2 dragon hearts so used all my diamonds, all my gold and all my redstone and a lot of wither kills to upgrade my armour to draconic. made the draconic sword too try to get some souls to respawn the ender dragon. The twilight mounds are a real boon to replenish those supplies but i think i will have to go strip mining for diamonds again. I enchanted the new armour and got fire immunity enchants on it, its already got that! so might have to look at a way to choose the enchants, so back to botania.
