Definitely Ruckus - I looked at both side-by-side and the Ruckus kit was far better in terms of performance (IMHO). Also - configuration is a breeze.

In terms of ACLs, you'll need to create allow rules for your HAP and Moodle servers and order them so that they are above the deny rule. Are your DNS servers on that subnet, too? You'll want allow rules for those. Not sure about your radius issue - is lightspeed recognising them as properly authenticated?

You can run Veeam on a physical server - no need to have a specific virtual host for it.

I was thinking that Apple Profile Manager would be a good thing to restrict apps - you can set a list of "allowed apps" and then all other apps are deemed evil and disallowed. I'd think though that your MDM might let you do this... I know that some do.

I've been using Plusnet for the last 18 months on the 80/20 fibre package and it's been really very good. Didn't use the Technicolor router that they supplied initially, but I've just been sent a rebranded BT Homehub v5 and that seems pretty good for what it does.

If they're volume licence customers, then have they got Software Assurance? It'll be the customers without volume licences that'll be tricky... my understanding is that you'd need to upgrade their PCs to Windows 10, use a key finder to make a note of the Windows 10 key, then re-image back to Win7 until you're ready to upgrade again. Nice, huh?

I wonder if it doesn't like 0.0.0.0 and 255.255.255.255 as the IP range. Can you try it with something that reflects your subnet?

Is the DC doing anything other than being a DC?

What's the speed like between the sites? I'd probably want to use some software that's WAN aware so that you don't saturate the link, that's why I mentioned Veeam. It would be a perfect application for this sort of thing.

Could it be that the old deprecated IE Maintanence bit of Group Policy is still taking effect somewhere?

Exchange makes it slightly more of a PITA, but it's still relatively straightforward. You'd need to create a new domain (in a new forest) alongside your existing domain, then create a trust between the two forests, build a new Exchange box, and then migrate the mailboxes across. That's the most elegant solution, anyway... Everything else is more or less easy.

What do you currently use to backup? Is it veeam by any chance?

Okey-dokey! Try turning off UAC, and running Word as administrator and then adding they key and activating.
