Hi We have a small setup of 10-12 Digital Signage Plasma Screens. They are with Celeron Processors and only 512mb of RAM. I am using Windows ThinPC and Powerpoint Player to load Slideshow shared at a remote location. Once the file changes on the remote share, its updated on all screens after restart. Its been a long time they are too slow and have some issues. We are planning to change the screens with a better solution, HD Display, HDMI, USB3, 16:9 or better I want to know what would you suggest, what kind of screens in terms of Hardware are good for that purpose Shall i go for the same screens with processor and HD+Ram etc? or there are better solutions with android enabled Digital Signage Screens? Your help would help me in reaching a solution and specs thanks

Well its all ready and working thanks everyone I installed Windows ThinPC on it Changed Settings for best performance and Pagefile Enabled Autologon Then installed Powerpoint Viewer (use viewer 2007 not 2010. 2010 will not show full screen display and will show slide bars unless you right click and select full screen) Used Shell Startup folder to place shortcut of the powerpoint show remotely shared on a local server now any change on the remote file changed the display on all screens

Hi We have LCD Display screens equipped with Intel Celeron - 1GB ram DDR3. We are using them to display announcements etc using MS Powerpoint Currently Windows XP is installed on them but i want to upgrade them with a latest version of Windows but their hardware limitations are not letting me installing any latest or heavy OS on them Is there any other way like converting them to thin clients? Any good software or recommended solution? thanks

We have cisco controller for wifi network and palo alto firewalls we have around 1500 users i couldnt control the bandwidth via palo alto thus i was looking for a cheaper and better solution for bandwidth management

Hi: We have implemented IP Telephones of Alcatel (8028 & 8038) and i am looking for a solution to access the line in remote offices. We are using Palo Alto Firewall Is there any way to access the IP Telephone Server Remotely via a third party VPN in order to connect remote offices to main telephone exchange. Palo Alto VPN seems to reach the server but its via client on PC, and i cannot bridge the VPN adapter called GlobalProtect of Palo Alto any tips to get it working thanks

Since in my current situation i have a separate DHCP server, when i will move the roles to the DC/DNS shall i update the DNS records as well or changing the roles will bew enough what will be the steps to be considered in order to shift it to new 2012R2 thanks

thanks it went smoothly It took some time for AD2 to replicate but functional level has been raised to 2012R2 successfully thanks a million

Hi: I have recently upgraded the domain to 2012 R2. My DC and DNS is running on one server. Can i have DHCP on the same one? Currently i have a dedicated DHCP server 2003 Is it recommended to have All three DC + DNS + DHCP on one server? Since in Server 2000 and 2003 it wasn't considered a good practice What does 2012R2 says about it ? Thanks

so for second AD i will straight upgrade the operating system

one last thing after running adprep /forestprep adprep /domainprep on AD1 and upgrading Shall i run the same commands on AD2 as well before upgrading?

Do i need to backup DNS or it will be handled itself during upgrade?

Hi: We are running Server 2008 R2 - Active Directory + DNS on one blade. We have primary & secondary DNS means AD1 and AD2 on two different blades I want to upgrade the running AD1+DNS and AD2+DNS to server 2012 and want to go for upgrading the same blades instead of fresh installation 1 - Is it recommended? 2 - Since they are Live AD, what will be the case if AD1+DNS is upgraded to 2012 and AD2+DNS is still 2008? 3 - Shall i upgrade AD2+DNS then AD1+DNS or vice versa thanks

similar to this one its a router from ISP not a DSL but yes in this scenarios its 20Mbps but if after Modem i add my Gigabit router to split one connection to 4 it gives me speed of 9.25Mbps

I have a Dish Point to Point Installed Cable coming from Dish to my ISP router. Its a single port coming out for internet. Network speed appears as 100Mbps and internet Speed is 20Mbps Then i connect this one cable of internet coming out from ISP router of 100Mbps to my Gigabit router and setup static IP for WAN etc When i check speed in this setup it appears as 9.5Mbps But when i connect the single cable from ISP router to my PC it shows 20Mbps

I am sorry for asking this basic question but i cannot find solution anywhere The internet Provided by ISP shows a 100Mbps connection and speed of my internet provided by ISP is 20Mbps I purchased a WAN Gigabit Router to split the single connection and to have wireless capability When i check my internet speed by connecting direct cable from ISP Router of 100Mbps speedtest appears as 20Mbps speed But when i connect same cable coming from ISP Router of 100Mbps to My Router of Gigabit, speedtest shows only 9.5Mbps speed Is it normal or my Gigabit router is acting strange thanks

@win I have flushed DNS @colinged No we didnt install anything on the Server, it was working perfectly fine and all of a sudden this problem started Messafe tracking shows successfully delivered but it doesnt appear in WebApp All MX records are correct and responding Before in the Symantec Antispam custom filters i had immidiate delete, now changed to Qurantine folder Planning for SP3 now, i hope it will solve the problem or upgrade to 2013

@Meldrew its happening for both internal and external mails @colinged i am planning to apply SP3, since it will have a downtime. Thus waiting for the right time
