Are you going through a proxy? If so it might work if you set a new AD group up, and apply your usual proxy settings via GP to the group but with exceptions for the websites you want to disallow. Then just add the relevant users into the group. Edit: Just noticed it's for computers rather than students, so you'd have to use some loopback processing as well and apply the new proxy settings to your library OU - no need for the additional group.

Hi all, I have been passed a weird issue by one of our Schools. Whenever they try to attach letters to students, it always fails if there are more than a couple of students selected. It also fails at random points, so for example in a batch of 20 students, it could fail at the first, the seventh, the eighteenth, etc. The steps the user is taking are as follows: Reports - Lesson Monitor - Letters - Print Letters. They select whichever group of students they need, then select the relevant letter. The letters then appear fine and can be printed as needed, but when it comes to attach the letters eventually the following error is received: The process cannot access the file \\server\Home folders$\Staff\user\My SIMS Documents\user.name\temp basic concerns letter over attendance .csv because it is being used by another process. When checking students afterwards, some letters are attaching but then it is failing and no more are being attached. It also doesn't matter which letter is trying to be attached, they all fall over in a batch operation. Before I start digging too far (SIMS isn't really my strong point!), has anybody seen this before, or anything similar? It also is not user specific, although it does only seem to effect users with a network home drive. I set up a standard account on a machine, and the letters seemed to attach fine. Wasn't an administrator so doesn't appear to be permissions related. Any help on this is much appreciated! Clents are Windows 7, servers are Windows Server 2008

Superb - a site I support has just moved from CMIS to SIMS, and we were facing the task of the SIMS Workstation install. using the above with SCCM I have just deployed to all machines on site with no problem - and confirmed with a staff member it works perfectly. We also use Group Policy to manage the permissions for SIMS to prevent any issues with updates, etc. Thanks for the above!

Anybodya had any issues with the update? ESM Server update went fine, but when we tried it on the workstations, Promissor told us there was an update available, OK, extracted some files to run setup.exe, then... nothing. Nothing at all. Can't even run the installer to do a fresh install as it won't allow it.

It is indeed very nice looking, and superbly playing game. Got it myself for the 360 just over a week ago and have been destroying it constantly. The variety of the racing is excellent, open-wheel, touring, drift, prestige, the works. Currently ranked number 2, so I'm almost at the prestigious top spot. Not to mention winning Le Mans in the stupidly fast Audi!
