logon script is fine,problem seems to be with temp files, i cant exactly run ccleaner on every logon to delete temp files but need something similar.

maybe a script to delete all those temp files from users areas ,any help will be much appreciated. how do you guys get round this problem.

Fuse? i'm not a teacher lol First thing i tried. Even tried the switch on the wall! Tried the Promethean power supply get beeps as it is powered up but no movement of cursor and the light on board not lit. As for age well its about 4 years+ .

Advice needed please,Promethean board has no power tried the obvious(power supply) to no joy. is it worth getting someone in to repair or just replace it? recommend a company who do repair these boards.

The situation is that teachers will have to sign it out, will have to show proof of home insurance, but what is the point if it is damaged by them or someone else in the household then the school will foot the bill! It will be covered by theft and fire but not by accidental damage on house insurance? Damaged laptops due to liquid spills faulty due to it being dropped will not be covered by insurance unless specified. I have had more damaged laptops in 5 years and 1 stolen from the house of a staff member which they claimed off house insurance.Still need some more info to work on.

This is why i need advice.

Scenario: Teacher brings laptop to me saying "it dont work the screen has cracked ,all i did was open it!" All you did was open it and it cracked ,looks like it was dropped!!! well anyway to the point: if the laptop was stolen from house or toasted in a fire it will be up to them to claim off the house insurance? so when it is damaged then what? stolen from car? need help on this as this is a bit of a grey area concerning laptops and members of staff. help needed please!

You have tried the(function) fn button and display button? if that dont fix it try updating the display driver on the laptop. had similar problem last week.

No response ,nervermind , another few hours on the phone.

New Software used for trips, dinner money etc, installed on server no problem ,installed on workstations again no problem. Logon as administrator no problem using software, logon as MIS user and the strangest thing happens, it starts installing ,starting microsoft publisher xp? any ideas why ?
