I knew there was something I was missing from the original post! I am using the English International ISO. I've updated the post to include that.

I've been deploying Windows 10 for a number of years now and all previous builds that I've deployed, I've managed to set the OS language settings via Unattend.xml from MDT within SCCM, which is used during the MDT Task Sequence. I've installed the 1903 ADK and modified the Unattend.xml (and distributed it and created a TS that uses it). However 1903 (English International ISO) doesn't appear to be picking it up and the OS is defaulting to en-US. I don't get the prompt if I log on as an admin first, though the OS language doesn't change. Has anyone else encountered this issue with language settings in 1903?

We're using SCCM with Software Updates configured (WSUS is installed and taken over/managed by SCCM). I have it configured to only download security and critical updates.

Men in Black International Was an OK waste of time, but I have a cinema pass so didn't have to buy the tickets. If I'd have bought the tickets, I'd have been disappointed. Hemsworth and Thompson didn't have the same chemistry that made them so good in Thor Ragnarok.

We're using Windows 10 Education x64 1709 and will be upgrading to 1903 over the summer (in the process of testing at the moment). I've avoided using LTSC in-case there are any features like the store that I may need to use in the future.

The post on Reddit says that affects upgrades from 1809 to 1903. Does anyone know if this affects clean installs?

I watched Chernobyl over the weekend. I was dubious about all the hype, but I'm very glad I did, such a good programme. I was able to get more insight too as my boss is Polish and had to take Iodine tablets when he was young. I'm currently finishing the Arrowverse shows and then I've got a bunch of stuff lined up, like Black Mirror, Our Planet, Planets (Brian Cox) and a few more different shows stored on my Sky Q box.

That sounds good, especially for days that I'd rather not go out of my way to get to the gym.

We have Windows Live Movie Maker 2012 and Adobe CC Suite in three IT suites. We also have Serif licenses for all of our IT suites, however it's no longer supported and we've depreciated it in favour of Adobe. Serif is only in use by some of our KS4 students at the moment who started using it. I believe that from September all media and ICT students will be using Adobe, so I can remove Serif. We've had a bunch of problems submitting course work that was created in Serif WebPlus X8 due to the way it compiles web pages. Moving to Dreamweaver fixed most of those, but it was too late to switch our Year 11s to Adobe and get them to learn it. I'll be having another chat with the heads of IT and media to see exactly where we are at for the start of the next school year.

Unfortunately I can't run because I have issues with my knees and swimming is too expensive! I do have a bike, but driving around Birmingham is scary enough, let alone cycling! If it's one of those types of aerobic videos, I don't have the coordination to do those (I've tried!). I think I'll slog on with the gym and maybe try and use different machines. Maybe if I can wake myself up at 6am, go for an hour walk before work or something (at least it's not as intensive in the morning as a workout) and then go to the gym normally after work. It's just changing my mindset - I know I have to get fit, but my lack of willpower to do so has been winning for years and I'm in a bit of a rut.

I'm in a position now where I feel I have to start going to the gym several times because I'm not happy with my overall health/size. However I find the gym an absolute chore and the idea of going after work puts me off. I can't get up early enough (and would be too tired) to go at 6am, so that rules out before work and once I'm home I don't plan on going out again! I have a wedding invite for February 2020 that I plan on using as a target to lose weight by, but it's still not helping with the motivation to actually go. Something has to change.

I'm having difficulty deploying the May 19 update, specifically deploying the MSI and MSP via SCCM. I want two scenarios for the deployment, one to deploy the main MSI client with the patch also applied and one to just update existing clients. If a machine doesn't have MBAM installed at all and I run this command: msiexec /i "\\\MBAMClientSetup-2.5.1100.0.msi" /qb /update "\\\MBAM2._Client_x64_KB505175.msp" I get the following Windows Installer error: Windows Installer does not permit patching of managed advertised products. At least one feature of the product must be installed before applying the patch. Ideally I'd prefer to have one deployment that can both update existing clients and also deploy to new clients.

I believe that the Dev kits are often over-powered to compensate for running and debugging the games at the same time.

Phil Spencer also specifically stated that they listened to the fans and that this new console is designed for gamers. I think they understand that the multimedia thought process behind the Xbox One didn't work. Let's hope they actually act on this.

Cheers for that. I do not have that update, I've been using the version from MDOP from VLSC that I downloaded, which according to SCCM is v2.5.1100.0 and the original release of 2.5 SP1. I will upgrade the server to July 2018 and also update the clients to May 2019.

We've been told by our Inventory sales guy that there is no system on the market that can let you through the door and also record your attendance for the evacuation list. Staff would have to first swipe through the perimeter door to get on-site and then swipe on another device ('quick scan' I think he called it) to register their attendance. He did mention that Paxton are working on a solution, but there's no timescale at present. The following through has been an issue in the past, but management came down hard on that a couple of years ago and chase those are appear as absent on the system. People soon get the message.

We've been asked by the head to look into a replacement door system that can do both staff and visitors. It appears that Inventory and EntrySign cannot do that at present, at least not that matches our scenario. Our requirements: 11 doors (mixture of perimeter and internal doors, with 2x perimeter doors recording staff swipes in and out for attendance) Reads Mifare cards Separate device in reception for visitors to sign in and print their badges Able to print an evacuation list that shows both staff and visitors The biggest issue we're running into is that our current mag-locks use Mifare cards and would need entirely replacing for the likes of Inventroy and EntrySign. We also have two perimeter doors that staff use to sign in and out of, we want those to log the swipes, rather than have the staff swipe through the door and then have to go out of their way to reception to swipe again on the machine there.

Hmm. Removing the laptop into the Computers OU (therefore no GPOs) allows it to encrypt manually using BitLocker from the Control Panel. So it is an issue with the MBAM aspect of BitLocker. Edit 1: When I insert a removable drive, it BitLocker pops up and asks to encrypt the drive. I complete the wizard and put a password in and the drive encrypts successfully. Edit 2: If the device is in the OU as normal and the MBAM policies are applied - the encryption won't work. However if I manually enabled BitLocker from the Control Panel applet, it does encrypt the drive, like it doesn't without any policies applied, but it still doesn't add the key to SQL. Does the same process apply when say home broadband providers do this and you can terminate your contract penalty free if you're unhappy with it?

Strange. I just cannot get it to do anything than produce that error. Google seems to be very short on information regarding that error too.

I'm currently testing 1903 and found that I'm unable to encrypt a laptop using MBAM 2.5 SP1. I encrypted another device that was running 1709 this morning, so I know it's not an issue with my implementation. Both the automatic attempt and the manual execution of MBAMClientUI.exe report the following error in the event log: Event Viewer > Application and Services > Windows > MBAM > Admin Can anyone else try and confirm this for me?

We have 200Mb/200Mb on a 1Gb line and paying around £6000pa, though we had to provide and manage our own firewall.

I've managed it by hiding the following folders using GPP, instead of deleting them (sure I originally got it from somewhere on here). the GPO: User Configuration > Preferences > Windows Settings > Folders %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WinX\Group1 %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WinX\Group2 %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WinX\Group3 %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WinX Set the action of all items to 'Update' and also check the hidden box for them all. When a student right clicks the start menu, nothing happens.

What's the best method for removing apps now? I've previously used @Arthur 's script to remove them from the WIM. I like doing this as it means I only need to do the job once and then import/deploy the modified WIM. Otherwise if done in the TS it adds deployment time to each deployment. Though the script hasn't been updated since 2017 (from what I can tell). Or is it best just to remove them from the TS now?
