Out of touch since going lessed printers. Just need a cheep to run mono laser printer for our SEN department. anyone have any ideas?

Yep. As above. Redirected start menu taking ages to apply. Takes about 5 minutes after the user logs in to apply. (same with the tiles). Is there any way of speeding this up?

I'm riding the storm with Windows 10. Settled down since friday last week. Only got 4 IT rooms on 10. Other rooms are still on 7. There is a fix for Windows update and WSUS due next week. (ive disabled the windows update service until i manually update the computers (i hope i can download the fix without using windows update)) Same for the printers. I fix is near. (i'm sure i read that in another topic) The only other problem is the black screen after login in. (got to turn the computer physically off and on fix that problem)

Just going to try your settings. I had a power plan set up in GPP.

OR does anyone know how i can keep it pinned on the start menu?

Just to add: I just added the printer script (and disabled the printers part of the GPP (for now, Would like it back at some point) I noticed its asking for Admin rights to install.. (I'm guessing that why its not installing the printers during login though GPP)

I noticed this has seemed to effect Windows 7 as well. I'm guessing I may have missed a setting somewhere. I got a list of printers in the gpp and got item level targeting set on some printers. (Library and staff room printer installed on all computers. And then any computers in (let's say DT1 or DT2 OU) install all the DT printers.

I just want to change the default web browser to internet explorer. Only got 1 IT room with chrome installed.

I hope not.... I'm just hope im missing a setting somewhere else.

Me again... Having a nightmare with Windows 10 so far this week. Printer arnt installing and get this error in the event viewer. What am i missing.... I'm going to hide and cry now

Somewhere its changing our search provider to something odd.. Is there a way i can change or delete the current search provider and change it to google for the whole site via GP?

Having a problem with WSUS and Windows 10 computers, Its seem to be draining our internet connection to a point where the whole school cant connect or slow browsing. Anyone have ideas?

Our DT department need access to C Drive to save there light-room files. I'm unsure on how to let them save as it only want physical access to hard drive and network. Anyone else have the same problem?

Does anyone know where the group policy be for showing the file explorer on the start menu is? I got a feeling i've hidden it and cant find it again..
