According to this, folder redirection settings are ignored when the user is a member of more than one security group. It is a Technet article though, so its usefulness is questionable!

I have the portable version running quite happily from a network share. Just make sure that you run the tuxpaint-config tool and tick the 'don't use lockfile' box, or you'll have problems running multiple copies simultaneously.

I'm having problems with the most recent version of the config wizard. As soon as I get to the section about which drives to show, I get: http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/6035/errorws.png popping up and I can't get any further. I also notice that the 'My Docs' drive letter resets itself to 'A' instead of 'N'. This is on server 2k8 on a non-RM network. Any clues?

Are there any APs which will reliably support 30 wireless clients? I have a v. small primary school with a cabinet of laptops running CC4 (all stay in the same classroom). Currently their (rather insane) setup is to have network cables at each desk. Network cables which, being plugged in/unplugged by 10 year olds on a regular basis, have virtually all had the clips broken off so they are forever getting disconnected. The school has very little money, but could probably stretch to one decent (unmanaged) AP if it was going to be reliable. Any thoughts? Liz

When you say you want the computer to keep the same name, I take it that it's a managed computer? I ask because I think I've seen that error if I mistype the GUID, so it tries to use the string %machinename% as the actual computer name... (I've spent the last 3 weeks setting up a server 2k8 network from scratch, and have learnt a hell of a lot in that time, so forgive me if I'm a little vague on individual error messages! )

Slight thread hijack - I'm having a similar problem. XP clients are fine - images deployed by WDS and time syncs fine. I'm also setting up various server 2008 clients (NComputing jobbie - needs a server OS for MS TS licensing). If I deploy the image so it doesn't join the domain, the timezone stays as GMT. However, if I set it to automatically join the domain, the time zone resets to Pacific Standard Time - this is the default time zone, I think? My unattend.xml has got the relevant tags with GMT specified (not sure of the exact syntax as I'm at home atm!) - I've also tried %timezone% with no luck. Any ideas? Edit: I should say that the time itself is correct - it's just a few hours out!
