No it doesn't complain about the charger. If you didn't notice the flashing light you wouldn't think anything happened to it.

Hi, I have an E5540 laptop that someone spilt a cup of tea on. Miraculously it's working, boots up, logs on etc. but whether or not the charger is plugged in the battery light flashes on off with an orange light. I've Checked the battery and it's fine, there are no errors on the laptop at all. I just wondered if any one had any ideas and if it safe to use? (It has dried out completely) Thanks

Hi, I support a primary school that received a 3D makerbot printer. I've got it connected to a laptop, wireless is set up on it and I was able to print the test template out. The problem occurs when I open the Makerbot desktop software, it won't let me log in as it says it can't connect to the internet, so the school can't download any templates or print anything other than their test piece. The school use proxy settings and I can access the internet through IE and Chrome. The website isn't much help. Any help gratefully received. Thanks.

Hi, Hoping someone can help. A primary school I support have received a 3D printer - it's a Makerbot replicator mini. Iv'e downloaded the desktop app but it when I try to log in it tells me it's not connected to the internet even though I can browse web etc. The school use proxy settings and I was wondering if there something I need to do to allow it to connect to the internet? I've tried their website but that's hasn't been very helpful so far. Thanks.

Unfortunately one of the drivers I need is the network adapter so I can't access the internet to get what I need on the machine.

I'm really hoping someone can help. I'm trying to find drivers for a PC that is custom made. It has an Intel motherboard. I have tried looking for drivers using the hardware ID's but keep getting a driver identifier website that won't give me the drivers just tries to download it's software. If any one knows how to find what I'm looking for I'd be very grateful. Hi, I'm hoping someone can help! I've got a couple of issues with Smart notebook on the Head's laptop (ASUS - windows 7) smart 11 comes up with the error 'cannot save custom tools' then crashes and won't open at all. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it but the same thing happened. I then installed Smart 10, the error comes up but it will now open. This is a right royal pain so if anyone can help. Second issue is Smart ink this time on a teachers laptop (Dell windows 7 - office 2007) when using smart ink in PowerPoint, as your writing it's fine but as soon as you take the pen off it goes a bit splodgy. It's fine when you write in smart notebook itself. again any help appreciated. H

Hi, I'm trying to set up a script to map network drives when an XP laptop loses connection and then regains it. The user log on is done by Group Policy. I have tried using NET USE Y: \\servername\networkshare but it didn't work (not sure I was doing it correctly as we are trying to map about 5 drives) Any help appreciated. H

She's is attaching them, I have to be honest it worked fine while I was in her office but I did watch what she did and thye were def there. the most confusing one is the paperclip being there but the recipient not getting the attachment. We're going to try an office reinstall.

Hi, I have a member of staff who is trying to send Word document attachments to other members of staff but she is having issues. sometimes they will send no problem (it is normally one document per email and not too big), sometimes it will send and the recipient will recieve the email with the paperclip to say there is an attachment but no attachment has arrived or it sends the email with no attachment at all. It is very frustrating for her as that is primarially her job to send letters to single or multiple members of staff. Any ideas??

I am trying to find an alternative so if anyone has any ideas that would br great. H Thanks for your e-mail. Unfortunately, this software isn't compatible with Windows 7. There is no workaround that resolves this and no close match for an alternative in our range. I'm very sorry that I can't provide better advice on this query.

Hi All, I have become our AV person at the College, general duties include setting up for assemblies but everynow and then I do the school productions and have been asked to set up lights and sound for external bookings. My question is can anyone recommend any training programs for lighting and sound? I am at the moment winging it and using Google if I get really stuck but I'd really like to be able to know what I'm doing and what I'm talking about when people ask about different cables, lights, mics etc. I know there are many different lighting decks out there and have the very large manual to go with ours I just want some general knowledge on anything AV. Hi, A student has managed to save a file as a .PRN file. I can't open it using word or PDF. Is there any way to open it or even print it (dragging and dropping to printer doesn't work)? Thanks

Hi I'm not sure if anyone's interested in this but I was updating my son's Windows 8 laptop yeesterday using ninite and it has an install for the windows start button (it's the only thing my son misses on Windows 8) so we gave it a try and it works. You can choose which start menu you'd like between classic, XP and 7. So if you do miss the start menu give it a try until the Blue update is pushed out. Ninite - Install or Update Multiple Apps at Once it's in utilities - classic start X

Hi, I am trying to share an Outlook 2010 calendar but I get the error Calendar sharing is not available withe the following entries because of permission settings on your network. I have cleared the address cache and gone directly into the Global address list and choose the user but that still hasn't worked. Any ideas? H

Hi I'm hoping some on can help. I have set up an archive on a staffs Outlook account, it ran and created the .pst folder in the users home folder, it has also created an Archive folder in the Outlook email account. When I try and open the file nothing happens. I tried File - Open - Open Data file - but like I said nothing happen. The .pst file is definatley there and it has data in it. Hi, Not sure if this is the right place for this but I couldn't find anywhere else to post it. We have an Optiplex 755 running XP that intermittently changes the caps lock so it's reversed. All of a sudden in the middle of a sentence it suddenly becomes capital even though Caps lock is turned off and the shift button isn't being used. It does fix itself eventually but it can be difficult as it's the finance officer that it is happening to and she has a real issue when typing passwords. We have tried numerous keyboards and updates but nothing has worked. Any ideads would be appreciated. Thanks
