  1. I think there is some truth to this. Tested just now.
  2. I've noticed this too. However at home on my BT Fibre it is blindingly fast. Using LGfL 2.0 here - 200Mb Connection.
  3. We used River Pro Audio when we needed to do something similar. We had to mock up the design on the templates they provided and a master copy of the disc. Even though we have a 1-8 duplicator onsite it was still worthwhile sending this to them to do. They sent it all back a few days later a professionally done. CD Printed, Jewel Case and Inlay and back cover. I think we may have paid a little extra for silver disk finish to make it look better than just a green duplicated CD-R. If you need any more info then let me know. Michael
  4. Not sure if i'm allowed to publicise it. But you can find it on the following document if you are a NC. https://support.lgfl.org.uk/secure/resources/guides/fetch_secure_doc.ashx?page=ug_NTP-pdf

  6. Hi, It seems that our time has drifted off to around 5 minutes from our LFGL NTP time server. I don't want to just resync the server with the time server as this will probably screw up the clients. I was thinking to manually adjust our DC time by two minutes each day, and force the PCs to resync. What would be the best way to correct this? We have XP and Win7 Clients. Thanks, Michael
  7. Didn't someone have a psd that had the location of the box defined so that the school logo would sit directly in the square box?
  8. Thankfully "C:\Program Files (x86)\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader\unins000.exe /verysilent" seems to uninstall it ok and the MSI installer does not create this file again!
  9. Hi, We seem to be having an issue with Foxit and opening files. It will just crash the computer and you're unable to kill any processes and you have to forcefully power off the computer. I tried to redeploy the latest MSI of the Enterprise version, but it looks as thought the regular installer was used on the base image and this needs to be removed before the MSI will deploy. What is my best/easiest way of uninstalling this and allowing the msi to deploy from GP? Thanks, Michael
  10. Haha! I saw this too and thought of @Little-Miss was just going to post and saw this thread!
  11. I can't see any obvious difference in you sheet, compared to my original sheet (Different to the uploaded one) but yours seems to work! Is it possible to add it to turn green if early or on time? Thanks, Michael
  12. Hi, I'm trying to make it easier for the staff who are monitoring staff attendance to check if people are late. I have an Excel sheet with Staff names and their start time. I want to apply conditional formatting to highlight if they are on time or late. Any conditional formatting that I apply always seems to reference back to C2. I've tried to apply the formatting and copy and fill the formatting values but this didn't work either. Is anyone able to work some excel magic on the attached worksheet. Thanks Michael Timesheet.xlsx
  13. Add Me.... Still Awaiting your quotation from earlier! Michael
  14. I have a P2V Windows 2003 box imported and converted into my Server 2012 as a vhdx volume. It boots from this fine as an MBR volume. GPT is only required on disks over 2TB. I used this for the P2V capture - Disk2vhd
  15. I'm sure when I did this, I did the following. Complete P2V and transferred to the new host. Import into Hyper-V Click on Edit Disk Follow prompts until convert Select VHDX Choose your required options. Mike
  16. I have tried this and cant get it to work. It worked fine on our old 2003 box.
  17. Since having this server I have been unable to get PDFCreator 1.7.1 to work as a network pdf printer. The save prompt is showing on the server rather than on the client. Does anyone have an alternative solution that works with Server 2012. Foxit is installed on all the clients however the Foxit Printer was not installed as part of the install. Thanks, Michael
  18. Do you have chown.exe from CHOWN Free Download in the same folder?
  19. Thanks!!! You have saved me hours of work! I've resolved it all in 30 mins with your script and clear instructions above.
  20. Hi, I've just re-enabled Quotas on my Server 2012 and noticed that loads of home areas were using 0%. This means that when the data was robocopied across the files and folders have lost ownership permissions. Our Home folders are structured as following: I:\UserHomes\Borough_-_School Name\Staff\Username \Student\Year 7\Username \Year 8\Username \Year 9\Username \Year 10\Username \Year 11\Username \Year 12\Username Domain Administrator has ownership of all the top level folders. Is there a feature in Server 2012 that will set ownership of the folder to what the folder is named? Or alternatively does anyone have any scripts that will do this. Thanks, Michael
  21. Pretty sure i've used this in the past - PDFUnlock! - Unlock secured PDF files online for free. Can't see the file size limit, although it says one is set..
  22. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! This has been driving me mad since the Summer. Not sure how I didn't notice it!
  23. Hi All, Hopefully someone can help me, when a printer is added to our newly commissioned print server it sets the default paper size to Letter. This then requires the setting to be changed in around 6 locations in the driver setting too. Does this happen to anyone else?? I think it may be down to using the PCL 6 Drivers from HP but I'm not sure. Majority of clients are Windows 7 Enterprise X64. Thanks, Michael
  24. GRRRR.... Microsoft are now informing me that there is no way for the profile that I have prepared as an Administrator to be copied to the default user. They are informing that I am to inform my users that they need to configure the software for themselves!!! Is anyone able to let me know what I am doing wrong. I'm only trying make the profile be applied to the default user after syspreping and deploying the image. This was such a simple task when deploying XP. Michael
  25. Cheers for your help Duke5A. I've just recaptured the image with your suggestions. I have created an unattend.xml with the CopyProfile=true and used this with sysprep. I still have the following in my ImageUnattend.xml for my Image in WDS. * George Green's School Authorised User UTC true Does this need to be removed as, i've already specified this in the sysprep file? Thanks, Mike
