Well ive tried and pretty much given up with auto deployment. I have a script which runs the exe and install.xml but all it install is Adboe Bridge, Device Central, Extend Script and extension manager. If i go in and run the script manually it all installs perfectly.

Now, how can i import my reg key into the msi with orca? Im not all that ofé with it yet.

I think i may have it. I installed it on my build pc, ran process monitor, activated synchroneyes, searched for the product key, then exported the whole key folder, this activates the licence automatically.

Hi, When i deploy synchroneyes teacher to our staff i have to activate each laptop individually, is there a way for this to be automatic? Many Thanks

Nevermind, worked it out! It was the ATI graphics drivers....thats two separate problems in as many weeks with ATI cards!!

Hi, Iam just setting up a test terminal server, when i try to connect my terminal the screen just flashes and instantly disconnects. I know it's connecting as the computer flashes up in the TS manager. Do i need to install the licenses before i can connect properly or is there another issue? If i install my licenses will this affect our current Citrix farm? We are trying to go from Citrix to RDP and i have setup a test domain. Many Thanks.

Hi, Is it possible to reset a computers ip from fixed to DHCP via a script/gp setting? We are moving over curriculum this summer and making the whole site DHCP and didn't fancy resetting 200 admin machines Thanks

Well it looks to have come good. Is it skipping straight past the one with the strongest signal and settling on another with half the strength. Time to check the channels me thinks.

We have about 30 AP's in our workplace and are having an issue with a couple. Does anyone know of any software that will tell me which one the laptop is connected to? We think two of them keep picking up and dropping the laptops in the area and thus causing them to lose network connection. Cheers

When you install studio you can choose wether to install flash with it. We didn't and have never had any problems.

I don't get it, if you are wiring the pc's to a switch anyway why not just run a cable from your network cabinet to the switch, or fibre?

Is there a problem with replication to our main Admin server though? We are currently doing this on our backup admin domain controller. Or should we be doing this onto our main DC and allowing it to replicate out?

We use scripts at the moment but we are going across two networks with different domains. We are halfway through a project to combine the curriculum subnet with admins new one. This wont be happening until summer and the printers keep dropping the passwords so teachers are finding it difficult to print to the curriculum side. Iam going through that website, but it seems to just state what to do, i cannot find any instructions on what to do if you havn't got the component.

I think i could have it as viewable from a users PC but there are no categories. Going by Technet you should just be able to add them, but there is no add button, anyone know how to add the categories? Thanks

Hi, I'am trying to get some deployable software so users can go to add/remove programs and install whatever program that is available on the network. Now i created the MSI, created the GPO but there are no categories that i can put the file into? Is there any way to custom add them? Will this result in the software being viewable from the users PC? I can only assign it also, i heard it had to be published, this is grayed out though. Thanks
