I mentioned this in a earlier thread, kaspersky have developed a web filtering software device wicg enable you to see who has viewd what and also to lock down any unwanted downloads, i have been trading this to hotels at the moment as there are guests that come to the hotel and download whatever they like, leaving the hotel owner viable for any fines should there network get checked.

letting the teacher know is a bad idea, during lunch or even lesson time they will be using there iphones/other devices, at least if they dont know they cant cause and problems by downloading viruses through there phones/other devices. once set up they will never need to ask for the code anyway, play God with it lol

Phillock, what sort of issues are you having with kaspersky, we can offer you support and try and resolve the issues for you. concider me as a voice that has a contact at kaspersky.

Ok so i have been having loads of training with Kaspersky over the summer holidays (yawn) and they have shown me various different features as to what kaspersky has to offer, Kaspersky is now doing a web filtering feature with there software which i thingt is a great idea... they have also developed a feature for mobile phones so that is your phone gets stolen it can be tracked, you can even send a txt to the phone and this will delet all the information on the phone, they have made it so that if someone steals your phone and changes the sim the new number will be sent to you via email and again you can either trace the phone or deativate the phone. do you have cashless catering system at all, jamie oliver has had his mits all over the schools menu and maybe you guys could post what food is on this week or next week, so that the parents can see what the child has, just a idea, maybe also have a news page where parents can see what is happening in the school and all future activities

you might not be able to complete lock down but you could set the laptop so that it only connects to a certain IP address, they would have to bring them in to work on then unless you have external access set up for them, there must be sofware that locks the laptop after a certain amount of days, if you find one then please let me know Giz

aaron if you dont mind me asking, how much budget are you allocated and what does this cover, ie new machines, laptops, toner, schools agreement, AV. just trying to figure out how you can do all this is £4,000 is alot of your budget!!!
