So im guessing noone has come up with anything other than running a command from a different computer? The problem i have is that i come across this problem at the other end of the school from my computer and would be very useful if we had something that could unlock or log off the user so that someone else could log on instead as our teachers tend to leave their computers locked rather than logging off, the next teacher that comes to teach then has to turn pc off and on before they can use.

Hi there, hope this doesnt annoy all the mac lovers out there but i have just managed to install mac osx 10.6 onto a lenovo laptop. It is running perfectly and i actually quite like it. However airport does not work obviously, does anyone have any ideas/know how to get it working as this would be much better and i may be converted to mac's after all. By the way the copy of OSX is genuine and only costs 26 pounds....bargain!

Unfortunately it only converts the audio, no video is converted.

Hello, i am currently trying to convert a WTV file to AVI. I however cannot find any download other than one you have to pay for. Does anyone have any ideas on this one as i am completly stumped. I have tried MC-TV which converts it for free but it does not complete the conversion and leaves some off the clips.

Hello, I am pretty much a newbie with this but i have been asked to look into buying a system that will take live video streams from cameras that will link into one system. It might be up to as many as 4 cameras and it will need to have an input for a laptop to display the laptop screen. It will need to link into a projector. I want the ability to choose which camera to show add effects and show the laptop display when i want to. Does this make sense?

Hi, At the moment i am moving our system over from xp to windows 7. i need to transfer all of the pupils work. I have just moved over the whole of year 7's files onto the new system. Tedious. I am happy to move the files across that is not too bad. The time consuming part is that i have to give the students ownership of their files for the quotas. so after moving the files over i give them ownership of the folder and all their files but then give administrator ownership of the main folder. What i want to know is there a script or program out there that can do this all for me. It needs to give the pupils ownership of the folder and files and then admin the ownership of the main folder but not all of the files. HELP!!

That is useful but my signage solution is rubish its amx signage and you cant run html files only .svg you can run actual streams but i am having trouble at the moment. I cant run the sky news mms link not even if i change it to http://live1.sky...etc.

Hi There i am new here. We have a problem in our school at the moment. We are running digital signage system called AMX inspired xpress. We can setup everything ok but we are having a problem with streaming live tv through them and the updates are failing. I think it might be a proxy problem or authentication however im am at a loss. We have a sophos box also which is always causing problems. Any help is apreciated thanks!
