I just witnessed my IT manager try to delete from program folders Internet explorer folder. He is trying to update to 9 and couldnt find the previous install to uninstall, even though i pointed out that 9 will just update it. I did a silent laugh to my self.

Dynamic updates are set to Nonsecure and Secure... hmm but the other DNS server does show up in Forwarding.

no errors but i see that our refresh rate is every 15 mins which would explain after flush and renew that 15 mins later it is not working again. A PC in the office was not working and we added the DNS manually to the adapter and refreshed internet and it worked. I think there must be a problem with the clients being able to see the DNS server as once it points to it, it seems to work fine..

Nothing i can see. I have currently set my network adapter to manual DNS entries of the two servers and seems to be stable at the moment however mine was always a funny one, sometimes being ok for most of the day. We have had CSE in looking into it but im not really a fan at all of someone looking after our network as its just one big bodge job.

Hello, We are having a little bit of trouble with our DNS server at the moment where for some reason all of our clients are loosing access to the internet and exchange server. When you click on the network adapter and troubleshoot it comes up with the error message "DNS server not responding" however we have found a way around this for now which is in command prompt to flush dns and ipconfig /renew but this is then happening again every 20 mins or so. I am getting worn our running around the school sorting this out for everyone. Any help would be great.

What is it you would like to know? EPSON was never really a problem i just never managed to schedule them. However if you need this site wide i would suggest looking into a solution that SMART are developing that will work on all projectors and will manage scheduling.

Hi, yes it is showing pjlink 0 before the connection closes.

Right - Update, i have managed to stop the check sum on this. It was the pjlink authentication that was the checsum so i have removed the pjlink password from the projector. However i still cannot get this working as i cant seem to get it to see pjlink 0 even though it is there. I just sits there trying to find it and when i telnet onto the device and try to type something in the session closes! any ideas?

Nice try with that software but it just doesnt do what i need. or if it does then i cannot use it easily. Any other offers?

Hello, I am currently trying to turn on/off our projectors around our site because of lazy teachers. I am doin this through rj45 ports and telnet. I have a piece of software that can do this but i am trying to create a script to control them. I can do this with epson projectors but am having problems with NEC and SMART projectors. I know the tcp port for telnet is 4352 and this is the script im using: 10.168.203.13 4352 wait "PJLINK 1" send "%1POWR 0\m" however when i try and connect through telnet it does not work. i am pasting this code into cmd to iniciate the command: c:\tst10.exe /r:"C:\turn on.txt" /m this runs the program tst10.exe which enables tenet to run a script this works fine however i think the "wait "pjlink 1" is the wrong command for the nec projectors as within the program i get this: [2011.11.15 10:42:45.577] Connected!!! Hello, I have noticed that on the newer models of SMART board projectors (ones with arms) short throw and long throw they have rj45 ports as well as RS232 ports. I am wondering if anyone has experience in shuting them down remotely or on a schedule as we have many teachers that waste bulb hours when they are not in the rooms or leave them on overnight. I have heard that it is possible throug the RS232 ports with control hardware such as AMX but surely there is a way through the rj45 ports connected to the network switch and controled via software over the network. Any help would be much apreciated. If it helps we have the following smart projector models: UF55w and UF75W.

Yes you are. The EULA is a contract and not copyright law so its not breaking the law, its merly breaking a contact and that happens all the time. I purchased the software legally. Looking at the copyright law i legally have the right to install my software i bought on what ever i choose. Apple merely have a contact but yh ill uninstall lol
