  1. Add WSUS server and once it has downloaded throw this line in to the custom settings. WSUSSERVER= and then link it to your WSUS server when you have done that ensure you have synced all updates and then approve them all and then in the standard task's ensure the windows update sections are enabled. Job done. When deploying it will look for the WSUS server and grab what it needs.

  6. well it wont activate unless the bios has the SLP string. so wouldnt work if it was for another brand of unit
  7. yeah you can sysprep it and generalise it and it will allow you to use it on any PC. read up on imagex all docs @ OEM Partner Center Regional Portal Selector
  8. if your given a Windows 7 Disc depending on the disc it can have either the whole series of windows on or just the one. normally they have them all on. They are all in the WIM You can use the a normal OEM disc on any of the branded unit's and then copy the licence files .xrm-ms and use the their product key and it will activate the units. if you have a locked DVD then remove the ei.cfg file and it will allow you to install any of the OS.

  10. Just Need a little help here im struggling to capture / deploy an image on to a laptop. I've created the image and pre loaded all the drivers. Ran sys prep (just use reseal command and shutdown nothing else) When capturing the image using winpe2 using the command of imagex.exe /capture c: d:\os.wim "XP" when captured no problem so i diskpart and clean the drive when reapplying the image back on to the same image i get no operating system :S
