Ok here it is, I have several WDS boxes setup across the estate, which are all working fine and with prestaging AD populates the correct computer name etc. Here is the difficult bit, I have taken the exact same answer file from my WDS unattend and put it into my manual install image for manual installs (some of our estate can't cope with WDS) but the answer file is failing with Net Join error 1355 . Does anyone know why a manual install won't play when the WDS fires through without a problem.... The answer file is exactly the same:

I have a vista image which has been WDS'd down on to a dell 760 for test purposes. There are a number of icons which have been populated into the start menu folder but they are not showing up in the menu. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? R

Are you aware if this will run inf files only or would it cope with the likes of the setup.exe supplied by intel? Reason I ask is I'm aware that I can use a couple of switches with the setup.exe to turn areo etc

Hi I'm using WDS to deploy windows 7 across our domain, problem I have is when I sysprep the image before sucking it onto the WDS box it strips out the graphics driver. I'm using Dell Optiplex 760's across the estate and need a way of installing the driver if possible from within the answer file. I have tried this but to no avail in as many places as I could find for my unattend.xml I'm using WSIM - here is hoping that someone has come across this before. If it cannot be done with this route I'd gladly accept any other ideas! VMT

Dave After setting your answer file to en-GB what did you use to change your keyboard and locale settings? I have followed your answer file settings but I'm still faced with US settings right through the OS despite it all being set to en-GB Rob
