  1. You might want to check out Unitrends disk-based backup appliance. You get the software and hardware in an integrated appliance. There are no license fees like with Backup Exec and it supports more than 100 operating systems and applications.
  2. I switched from Backup Exec to Unitrends backup appliance. There are no license fees and I have been extremely pleased the user interface.
  3. We recently purchased a Unitrends backup solution and have been extremely happy with it. We can do daily backup and archive jobs on autopilot. Status reports are emailed so I always know the status of the backup process. File level res-toration is a breeze when needed. The DPU-3000 along with the Recovery-Archive really make this a no brainer when it comes to functionality. Just Google Unitrends.
