  1. well sh*t, I think it's a bug in the old-ish version of mrbs I'm running... it's noted in a changelog.. sigh..
  2. Not totally sure which forum this fits in.. first post in forever! OK, I'm using simplesamlphp as an SP and Google Apps for Education as the IDP. I have a locally hosted php app (mrbs) that I have managed to get to attempt to login with Google. I hit log on and get a choice of my two Google accounts I'm signed it to, but then it attempts to redirect back to https://mydomainXX.school/simplesaml/module.php/core/mydomainXX.school/day.php?year=2022&month=10&day=04&area=2&room=4 it's doubling up on the domain URL, which I think is OK, but which ends up in a simplesaml complaint that: "The given page was not found. The reason was: The URL wasn't found in the module." I'm struggling to figure out where to fix this redirect, in the Google ACS URL, on the simplesamlphp or in Apache? getting annoyed, might need to go for a walk.. thanks for reading! doofusdog
  3. Re-imaged a lab yesterday with OSX 10.11 El Capitan, this is the first time we've had a lab full of Macs, (been Macs for teachers for a few years now) So this time round I joined them to our Active Directory server by: Login Options in the Users & Groups pane of Sys Prefs and the Join.. button. Entered the IP of our primary DC, typed in a unique name, used our AD administrator credentials.. Worked great.. Our DC's are running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard with SP1 Imaged them using Deploy Studio, and rejoined the AD on each one after imaging.. The problem is some don't get the Other.. login option. Sometimes a reboot picks it up, but for some it doesn't come up at all... This time round I've set up the lab on wifi, using a pair of Ruckus R600's. Autodesk Fusion 360 is going awesome on the machines that do log in.. Anybody seen this kind of thing before? I've looked through the threads on here about AD auth, but they seem to be for older OSXs and I'm only wanting logins at this stage since we're using cloud apps. thanks, Craig
  4. thanks for the reply, interesting.. I managed to convince them this morning, both the reseller and the money man here at work, the upgrade process should all be underway.. I also had some good email discussion with one of the Papercut support guys.. thanks again, Craig
  5. Hi, I think I've upgraded myself into a corner.. I upgraded my Mac based secondary Papercut server to OSX 10.10 Yosemite. It works fine, except the AirPrint service does not work. I see that this is fixed in 14.3. However we are running Papercut MF Version: 13.5 (Build 24862). Our copier provider is not being very helpful about upgrading this, possibly because we are nearly near the end of our lease.. I could rebuild my Mac print server back to an earlier version of OSX, but I'd like to try and avoid doing that.. Is there any other way around this? thanks, Craig
  6. OK so we've got some large mdb files as part of a program we use.. I'm attempting to copy them using xxcopy and they won't copy. "Copy failed" But I can copy them by copy and paste or drag and drop in windows.. Anyone got a runas trick or something to help me? ta Craig
  7. just sent them this email: anybody got a good tip for this? >> Hi, I'm wondering if there's a less time consuming way to merge each folder from an update disk into the existing library folders. I find it very boring and time consuming to do the merging of each folder as outlined on your site.. ClickView Support - Move or Merge Folders in the ClickView Library Server ta Craig >>>
  8. yup, that's it. grrrrr, oops.
  9. oops: "This seems to be Management access control issue, Is there any IP address configured under Management ACL in Zone Director. If added then you will be able to login only from that IP address or from that subnet." oops, Yeah, maybe that's it.. thanks for your ideas anyway. Craig
  10. I'm 99.9% sure it's the right IP. I'm getting the SSL cert that says it's for a Ruckus controller.. Then it redirects. Yep using Chrome, and same on Mozilla and IE 11 and Safari and Chrome on my Mac.. I'll try and find my login for Ruckus support.. mumble mumble.. cheers, Craig
  11. Hi, Because our old Ruckus 1000 controller wouldnt support the new and cheaper AP's, we recently got a new Ruckus Controller running the latest software.. and I set the whole network up again. The network is still going very well and the new model AP's seem rock solid (dont remember the model right now..), however I now cannot login to the controller's web interface.. It's on a static IP and I've power-cycled it a few times over the last 2 weeks.. It redirects me to a blank page with this URL: https://x.x.x.12/_.html (I've xx'd out the real IP) Luckily as I said, the network is still going fine. Anyone seen this before? ta Craig.
  12. Yeah thats the issue. Tried to backup on the old and restore on the new... Firmware wrong... Will think about maybe downgrade, restore, upgrade.. Seems risky though... Hmm... Ok.. Thanks!
  13. Can I copy the config from the 1050 to the 1150? Or should I start from scratch? I THOUGHT I read somewhere you could, but now I can't find it.. cheers, Craig
  14. Ah!!! Very pleased to know what was going on.. I ended up changing the internet connection used to one without a mandatory proxy... Thanks people!! Craig
  15. We're having problems Using MRBS, Meeting Room Booking System. In the last few days, when saving a new entry or editing an old one.. When I use the Save button, it greys out and takes around 1.5 minutes to save. Displaying of pages is generally acceptably fast. Was nice and fast before that for several weeks since install.. we have used an earlier version of mrbs last year before changing the server. That was great! I don't remember doing anything to the server that could have broken it. Meeting Room Booking System: MRBS 1.4.8 Database: MySQL 5.1.41-3ubuntu12.10 System: Linux web 2.6.32-38-generic-pae #83-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jan 4 12:11:13 UTC 2012 i686 Server time: Tue Feb 28 11:56:17 2012 PHP: 5.3.2-1ubuntu4.14 System load is low, around 0.2 Mysqld and apache2 do appear at the top of "top", but with very low cpu and memory. I've restarted the server a couple of times, restarted apache and mysqld Does this on all browsers, and even from home from it's public IP Ideas anyone? I've spent several hours testing, looking at apache2, mysql logs, testing the disks... I've gone hermit in a far flung basement office with my headphones on to try and get this problem sorted.. ta Craig
  16. had me worried for a minute there, but here in New Zealand Fathers day is in September! Phew!
  17. OK and we're back looking at this problem again... We still can't run our normal Wsh script for adding the printers.. Furthermore, if we browse to the printers server as in the attached screenshot we don't have permission to add printers. The MPM account used to create the mandatory profile can add printers this way. Student and staff accounts that use a normal roaming profile can add printers this way just fine! We are using 2003 R2 as DCs and printer server, XP SP3 for the clients, we get the same thing happening on both a VM and on a real computer lab machine. Any ideas? :troll::)
  18. What do other people do with the important passwords.. Currently I try to remember them, but every now and then one falls out of my head.. The ones for the servers mostly.. admin password for this that something else.. Write them down lock them somewhere? Write them in invisible ink, put them on a sticky note on the ceiling?
  19. I've got a an Intel Server Board S3210SH with a Xeon on it.. and a RAID card SRCS16 It has stopped booting from the RAID card.. I go into the BIOS and change the boot order to RAID first. But it keeps changing back to EFI first. EFI should default to last. Save Changes, go back into Boot Order, changed back! Even the Boot Manager part of it that is a one time boot, if you choose RAID, boots EFI first. I've done the BIOS CLR CMOS jumper thing, and done the battery out, short the terminals thing... The error manager in the BIOS says yep cleared OK, etc. I've even updated the motherboards BIOS to the latest.. Anyone seen this type of thing before? ta Craig
  20. done! we have a domain again! yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!
  21. we use accessit, i like it. i also like koha because i now one of the maintainers, he's very sharp!
  22. Yeah I figured as much and IT WORKED! I've done my practice server, now starting the real one.. thanks for the support! Craig
  23. I can get into DS recovery mode. The restore began fine but the instructions I have say to restore the c: drive and the system state, but this requires about as much free space as the the backup is. However the partition is mostly full. A partition move and resize using acronis says it will take 6 days.. So I'm going to find out exactly which files need restoring... because I don't think it's many.. I now have two nearly identical servers running identical images... One to practice on! The other one will be the fixed DC !!
  24. Oh dear. Our Active Directory and Domain on our only DC has disappeared due to something going very wrong when trying to add a second DC to the domain yesterday. I do have a Windows Backup / NT Backup of the C drive and system state. However I didn't know the Directory Restore password when the backup was made 3 days ago. I changed that password on the DC yesterday. But did not repeat the backup. So my question is: is the password required to open the backup? Or merely to get the DC into the directory restore mode? Is the password in the backup? The other thing is: I should backup the c drive before I attempt the DS restore.. Can anyone recommend a backup program? I would use dd on a linux boot disk, but I do need to be careful as the other partition on the disk holds the school's data. I do have a backup of this... But it would be a large restore job! Or should I rely on the fresh NTBackup that I have done today, which of course has the bung System State in it. Or Acronis True Image? Phew, thanks! Craig
  25. nah 70 Mbit/s so slow. but I've googled around an that seems about right for a RAID rebuild on 4 year old hardware.. 91% done now. Craig
