What about the permissions on the shared has a number been specified, try setting the security on the shared folder to everyone full, see what happens. regards Phreadlock

If your using static ip's remove the the computer from the dns host list, it may be listed under ip only. Also as suggested remove from AD. regards Phreadlock

Please can you help me, i have a script that runs on our 2003 server to shutdown all computers on the domain, however 20% are windows 2000 sp4 fully patched. These machines don't switch off, i get the message "it is now safe to switch off your computer". i believe this is to do with windows power management on these machines ? Has anyone had problems with v4 drivers, when removed using add/remove all is said to be well. However they are not removed system restore seems to be the only option. When older drivers are install add remove say they have installed and the version number is correct. However in the right click icon the are listed a v45 drivers?

Just found a work around using http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/ Opened mspaint removed set as background recompiled using res hack, save as mspaint1.exe to desktop. click on mspaint1.exe and now menu item, no all i need to do place the hacked exe on our image. May come in very handy for other little problems seem a good tool.

We have 75 acer wireless laptops acer290cxi now 3 years old out of the the 75 we have had 3 cpu failures 1 inverter, and one MOB. Considering the stick they get we have be very please with them. However it has to be said tech support has gone down hill of late as everything is now back to base ( no local approved outlets for repairs/spares) and a closed shop. Before my supplier could get parts put now i have to go direct to acer. roll on refresh!
