Ah cool, well we have a schools agreement I think, with technet so I'm hopeful that we're covered.

Has anybody had any issues installing this on a 2003 service pack 1 DC? I'm looking at setting quotas on my students home directories and apparently it's much more configurable when this is installed. Is it a free add-on with a volume license? Can I download it? I have 2 DC, one of which is our exchange server, do they both need to be upgraded and is it likely to have any issues?
  4. Yep, that's what I've been doing. Cheers
  5. You're absolutely right! I've just noticed that the only ones that I can't batch delete are ones inside zip files. They can be deleted individually, which is a pain in the arse, but at least it can be done and I now know why. Thanks for all your help everyone, I'll look into that R2 thingamy aswell.
  6. So it's like an add-on? I'll have a google now rather than keep disturbing your good selves.
  7. Ah, so 2003 R2 is 2003 service pack 2? I was going to wait a little while before deploying this.
  8. That sounds interesting Tosca, could you quickly explain where I would find this setting please? Is it with the usual Software Restriction Policies? Also, as handy as that option would be, I still need to get rid of the exes (and other files extensions when I get round to it) that are already in the drive.
  9. I'm trying to use windows search to go through our students home directories removing any exe files but when I try and delete files found I get: 'Cannot delete file: Cannot read from source file or disk.' Is there a better method for doing this?
  10. Amazing!! Pulling out the lan cable worked a treat!!! Thanks.
  11. I seem to be having some trouble installing WininstallLE on my stations today with the registration failing. I normally put in a fake e-mail address in the box and never get a problem, but today I'm getting a registration failed error. Now I'm presuming that OnDemand are doing this to push the chargeable software, although I could be wrong. If that is the case though, does anyone recommend any free alternatives? Something nice and basic like Wininstall that won't take me ages to learn how to use. Just scan, install, rescan type of idea.
  12. I too have been using that redirect adm file. I can't remember where I got it from now. Works a treat.
  13. Yes we are using the network license version. However we resolved the problem yesterday. Another package that was installed in the same room via GPO was messing with the quicktime installation on the machines. Removing this package and reallocating my Sibelius 4 package (built from a clean station using WinInstallLE with all the licensing details put into the package) solved the issue. Thanks for your input though guys, much appreciated.
  14. We have a network license for 30 machines at our site, which if possible I want to avoid installing manually. Currently I've tried using WinInstallLE to create a package for the full install and have allocated it using GPO. However when the students try to use it, first of all it complains that quicktime is out of date, (even if I manually update quicktime to the latest version) and then shortly after Sibelius bombs out asking to send an error report. This happens as both administrator and standard user. Anyone else overcome this problem, or have a better method for installing the software? One day things will just come as standard with a WORKING msi!
