  1. Hi, I noticed a student exam today where he was typing and the screen flashed and it went back to the end of the document. I think this was a bug in an earlier version. There was a number of paragraphs throughout the document.
  2. Thanks, what I meant was is that the toolbar remains greyed out after restoring a previous file. The line spacing for restored text on screen also disappears, but it is fine when printing off. Tags are fine now, thanks for the info.
  3. When using previous version, it seems to grey out the toolbar. Making a new document stays the same. Any ideas? Some of the config file had as well.
  4. Can we add the current date to the header options (where you add candidate name, centre number exam etc)? For example, 24/05/16. Invigilator asked for it. Thanks very much.
  5. Excellent, looks good. Thanks. Can the clock be moved to the bottom right out of interest (away from the tip text)? Students/staff tend to glimpse at that area more due to the Windows clock display normally being there.
  6. I currently only need it for the double line spacing option if that helps.
  7. Not a major issue, but:- I noticed the header information uses IE printer settings (current user). No issue for the exam user. Sometimes I have to print off work on a different computer due to no printers being in the original exam room. If I do this, the IE header settings (centre number, name, exam paper etc) for the student remain on my own profile afterwards. For example, I print off a random website and it has the previous exam header information at the top still. Is there an alternative? I search for our centre number key in regedit at the moment to remove it! Thanks.
  8. Clock is fine (probably easier to setup)? Also for the page numbers, can there be an option to include the total number of pages? Eg, each printed page to say Page 1/5, Page 2/5 and so on at the bottom left? Thanks.
  9. Can we have a clock at the bottom right? I think vitalstatistix mentioned it above as well. Thanks very much.
  10. Can you enable the mouse scroll if the page is full up with text (or add a slider bar)? Students have to hold the up/down arrow keys to scroll at the moment. Thanks.
  11. Thanks, working fine.
  12. Yes, I would prefer the backups to save to their user area so that everything is in their own account and I don't have to worry about any shared data issues.
  13. Valid points. It would affect our mock exams though if there was a break time of only 15 minutes in between lessons and different students switch over. Can you still offer an option to change the ProgramData/Autorecover location? Thanks for the good work!
  14. Can the recovery/auto save data be set to save elsewhere or provide an option to change it in the settings file? If a different student logs on to the same computer, they have the ability to recall the work from another student because it is saved within the ProgramData folder by default (creating a security risk). I understand that correct file permissions would need to be setup etc. Thanks.
  15. Hi, Looks good. Can you add a line spacing option? Some papers/markers specify this. Also, maybe a DefaultOpenPath like the save function in the settings file? Thanks.
  16. Anyone having issues with the computername part? It seems to skip and create a random name? I can't seem to get Sysprep to ask for a PC name (the screen where it asks you to select a colour as well during normal installs). Might have to go the PowerShell/Script route and make a prompt of some kind? A few random forum posts mention the issue as well:- https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/52f0b476-dc3e-43f2-a4c7-68b9cb009d94/computername-in-unattendxml-ignored-by-windows-10-version-10240?forum=win10itprosetup Build 10240 not prompting for computer name during sysprep - Windows 10 Forums
  17. Thanks Pete - your fixed worked great for Adobe AIR 2.0.2.12610. I can now deploy the latest version via Group Policy! :-) I've also got to do something similiar with a piece of PE software. There are two MSI's which link together somehow and they request starting from setup.exe first. I think some rows will be dropped in Orca again! :-)
  18. They are searching for basic documents and a program located on a shared drive, which they need to make a shortcut too. I have just manged to find a registry tweak (liutilities.com) hiding "For People" and "On the Internet" which I will probably convert to an ADM template, but I also need to hide the "Find Printers" option as well.
  19. * Windows XP/Server 2003 Vanilla Network * Some of the current IT courses require students to use "Search" programs. I was just wondering what everyone else is using? I'm not a real fan of Windows Search. We locked down Active Directory searches to display 0 results but it still seems easy to play with with. I've tried out some free open source programs but they seem to allow access (browse/open program access) to the C Drive. Any help is greatly appreciated! :-)
  20. Plexer, I've tried that and sometimes Orca has corrupted my MSI files (file size is much smaller), so I usually play it safe and apply the MST settings to the MSI manually.
  21. Thanks for the update folks. Well spotted Plexer, Promissor does correctly deploy via Group Policy (even though it throws up the error message during a manual installation). I looked into Orca further and discovered how to remove the ADMSetup.exe check during a manual installation. You need to remove the following entries from the "Property" table:- IsPrerequisiteSetupBrowse (Value: Open [ProductName]'s original [sETUPEXENAME]) IsPrerequisiteSetupInvalid (Value: This executable file does not appear to be the original executable file for [ProductName].....etc) IsPrerequisiteSetupSearch (Value: This installation may require additional dependencies. Without its dependencies, [ProductName].....etc) SETUPEXENAME (Value: ADMSetup.exe) IsPrerequisiteFeatures (Value: Main) I have now applied the correct DATAPATH, exam user account/group permissions and removed the above ADMSetup.exe check entries. Finally, I used the "msitran" program to apply/bind the MST settings permanently to the MSI file, so everything is now built into one installation file. I will keep the MST file for future versions. :-) The correct apply command example within CMD (in case anyone needs it) for msitran is: msitran -a "Administrator.mst" "Administrator.msi" Obviously you will need to be located within the correct folder path inside CMD and change the file names if you have called them something else!
  22. We normally deploy the software via Group Policy Software Deployment. Is there an alternative option to using scripts? I recall editing an entry in Orca to disable the "ADMSetup.exe" check... I think someone on here posted the solution, but I have not found it yet! :-(
  23. Seems like a new upgrade is out for ESM (8.97.16.10) / Administrator (8.97.208.13). I have extracted the MSI from within the TEMP folder while running the Administrator setup normally. When running the extracted MSI on it's own, I get the following error:- "This installation may require additional dependencies. Without its dependencies, Administrator may not work correctly. Would you like to find the original ADMSetup.exe?" I can recall editing something in Orca to disable this check a year ago, but I can't remember where it was! Perhaps this fix should also be added to the wiki as well? Any help please? Thanks.
  24. Hi there. I'm having problems with Shutdownertron since I changed the shutdown times on Group Policy from 10pm to 7pm. Machines around the site are still set to shut down at 10:00pm when I look at Scheduled Tasks on local computers. When I look in Event viewer, it says that the Shutdownertron 7:00pm time is applied successfully. If I change the time on a local PC to 7pm, it does not shut down. However, it does shut down at 10pm. Any help please as to why changing the settings do not work? I have tested GPUPDATE /FORCE on the server and local computers, seems OK. I have allowed a few days to pass. Any help please? Looking forward to 1.5 as well! Thanks.
