  1. Recently yes there have been a lot of issues but that hasn't always been the case.
  2. There wasn't an easy way for this process unfortunately. We had to open each PST in Outlook and move all the folders out of the Primary Mailbox folder and into the root area. It's also worth noting that this doesn't actually move the contacts and calendars. You have to right click on both and select move. If you don't do this last step you end up with a duplication of both.
  3. Although i was just giggling with that reply, i'm not for one moment suggesting that customers don't have a right to complain. They most certainly do. The point i was trying to make is that we have all been in the same situation (albeit more than likely on a smaller scale) and i think we need to keep that in mind before hurling abuse there way.
  4. And? That doesn't mean the patch has been released for a couple of weeks. For the record, I'm not trying to defend them to the hills. I'm trying to be fair. I wouldn't want an SLT coming up to me and saying we want to terminate your employment because this 3rd part supplier that you are tied into has let us down.
  5. How do you know they haven't got test hardware? It's a really new patch isn't it?
  6. Sorry was replying to Primus. I'm not defending them so vociferously. I think im being fair. I understand the frustration caused by this, it's hit us too. But I also understand because I've been in the situation where something isn't working in a school due to a supplier and staff in our trust have always been understanding. I don't take that for granted and extend that understanding to our suppliers - with in reasom Primus, I just don't understand the constant negative posts when you don't actually know what's going on - for instance the emails sent out explaining things. Of course no offence meant in it all
  7. No offence, but how can you be so sure of all these comments when you don't actually use the service? They are installing the firmware based on the recommendations of the supplier. Trouble is letting schools leave early without penalty could easily bankrupt a company there for putting the rest of the schools at a loss, the schools that haven't suffered. Can I ask why you are so invested in schools broadband? You seem to comment on them an awful lot without actually using their service? Do or have you worked for a competitor?
  8. Trouble is with that thinking, is where up the line do you place blame? I mean someone could turn around and say you look after the IT in the school and so it's you ruining children's education. Of course that isn't the case, it's the supplier. Hopefully this gets resolved asap. Things were nice and stable before and hopefully they can get it back to there.
  9. If i remember rightly, you can only claim a small amount of service credits for downtime.
  10. I can't seem to find our SLA with Schools Broadband, does anyone have a copy (i would suspect they are all the same)?
  11. Barry is ours too. He is normally out and about but he normally replies to us when he can. They do have redundancy, but i think that's where the issue is. Completely agree it's the wrong time to sort but if it provides them with a few clues as the problem and they can put a permanent fix in place i'll be happy.
  12. Ah i see. Do you know who your account manager is?
  13. are the lightsppeds just seperated by the different filter addresses or is that the fortinet firewalls too?
  14. You sure the filter has changed? It would mean having to change the filter agents installed around the school? We sometimes get a blocked message from another filter server than the one we are on.
  15. Why don't you talk to your account manager by email or phone call? Remember this isn't the official way to communicate with them.
  16. i think it's gone again?
  17. confirmed we are back up too. Hopefully fortinet got an understanding of whats going on.
  18. Just heard that one of our schools are fine, just finding out what filter they are on. We have a school on filter5 that is working ok. strange EDIT: Now confirmed 3 our of 10 schools are still up on filters 5, 14 and 17
  19. We have 10 schools with them, in the last 6 months things haven't been great but before then it was brilliant. I just hope they sort this issue out once and for all.
  20. just had conformation that it's all our schools (inc filter 14 and 9). Don't mind them taking a little long so long as they get to the bottom of problem. Laughable that Fortinet are on everyones buy list on the share sites - if only they knew...
  21. if failover didn't work then whats the point of having a 3rd?
  22. Thanks for the update, I suspect yet another Primus post coming up....
  23. missed them all
