    Are you talking about SharePoint Rich Text web part or something else?

    I am not sure if you checked SharePoint User web Part(Out Of The Box), which can show limited on-line users status. Another thing you may interest is SharePoint Site User Directory Web Part. It show a lot of information of users and groups as well as on-line status. Hope this helps!
