  1. Yes, I know. There is nothing quite tailored to our needs at the moment. Just thought that a local school could offer more immediate training. I'll keep an eye on the RM site though.
  2. Any schools in Northants running CC4 that may be able to offer some training for our ICT Technician? She is familiar with everyday tasks, but would like to expand her knowledge. Please send a PM. Thanks
  3. We're having the same problem on our networked machines. RM CC4. Have contacted RM and they have sent a script to run - but it has only worked on a handful of machines or for certain users. It is causing issues for pupils rather than staff. We're still looking for a solution...
  4. OK - using ActiveSync, I get the error - 'synchronization not enabled' after I enter the domain, username, password etc Any ideas? (In simpleton language please... )
  5. Sorry if I'm being thick... Where do I find 'Accounts and Sync....sync to calendar'? On my phone I have Accounts and Sync, but no option to sync to calendar, or is it an option hidden away in my main google account?
  6. Hi - probably a very basic question... Firstly, is it possible to sync the calendar on my HTC Desire, running Cyanogen Mod, to an OWA calendar? Secondly, if so... how do I do it? I'd like to be able to enter events on both my phone and my laptop so that they sync with each other rather than one just erasing events on the other - if that makes sense. Thanks
  7. That'll be me then ;-) No luck so far - maybe my accent? haha
  8. I stripped it down, reset the switch, still red. So I blasted it with compressed air while I had the cover off and then reset it again. I think a combination of both these actions 'persuaded' it to fire up...! So - cheers for the advice.
  9. Hi We have a problem with one of our XE40's The red power light comes on at start, but then nothing. I've checked that the remote is working on other XE40's and and also that other remotes won't work on it either. After speaking to Promethean, I've tried holding menu+image to see if the channels needed altering but no luck. The bulb isn't that old, any ideas as to what I can try? Thanks
  10. Hi I'm giving a brief talk about our school site at a couple of the roadshows next week (Irchester and S'stone) as we've been using LP+ for a while now. I'm sure it will also be a sales-pitch from LP+ too, but it seems like a good chance to come along and see what is on offer - especially for those schools that haven't yet made a choice. I'm certainly not into sales, but we find that LP+ suits our needs and the backup from the support desk is excellent. If your school is still unsure, I'd encourage you to send someone along to one of these dates. I'm sure that there are a fair few schools in for a shock when they realise what is expected of them in the next couple of years. My wife's school staff have no idea what a VLE is - LP+? What's that then??
  11. Ours (Parklands Primary - Northampton) has been much better since December - Only a couple of small spikes over the last 6 weeks.
  12. Hi - I'm just up the road from you at Parklands. I went to their stand and received my memory stick along with profuse apologies for the way it had been handled ( I registered last year sometime). I voiced my concern that they were just harvesting email addresses, and was assured this wasn't the case (still not 100% convinced) Anyway, on the stick are are a lot of useful resources/websites along with about 1GB storage (much less than I was expecting) with 10GB online storage facility. For a freebie it's OK, but certainly not worth all the hassle of getting one! I have a contact for the MD if you want it.
  13. Thanks to Domino for the mug - even though I'm a teacher...!
  14. I'm definitely interested in this after the brief peek at the LP+ conference. Any idea whether LP+ are taking it onboard 'wholesale' - or is it down to individual schools to upgrade their existing provision?
  15. That looks very useful. Cheers
