I'm hoping to set it up as a server whilst I'm doing my studying, then once I've finished, turn it into a storage server.

Hi Guys, I purchased a server case a very long time ago and its been in the loft for a while. I am going to start buying and building it. Hi Folks, Thank you all for your replies. I have now managed to bind them to AD (.local domain) and they have now all been setup. My next steps will be to create a default profile that will apply to use users as they login. Thanks for your input. Stuart

Hi Guys, I guess you can tell I am relatively new to having iMacs on the Windows network. Basically we have 6 iMacs that need to be managed, but we don't have any Mac Servers etc. How am I able to manage them (at no cost) so we can deliver basic settings and profiles for the students. Hi rush_tech, Didn't even realise there was a utility on the disk. Thank you very much. Do we know what the password is set to when you install the Snow Leopard OS or is easier to just install the OS and reset the password? Regards Stuart

Hi, I am having an issues with one of the iMacs. I have reinstalled Snow Leopard X (10.6) and it boots asking for a password for the 'local-administrator' but it will not let me login... I have tried to reset the password by booting using 'Control + S' (I think) Any ideas?? Stuart

I am trying to run the Deployment Workbench and I am recieving the following error: Initialization Error PowerShell is required to use the Deployment Workbench. Hi, I currently have a computer connect to the PA System at work and it has scheduled tasks set to basically open various mp3's at the scheduled intervals. They play twice daily with a bat file to start them and we just trim the tracks to 5 minutes as they cannot go over. We have been thinking of changing it, so there are more random tracks played. We have decided to have media player playing 24/7 and we are trying to find a way of creating a vbscript that can be called like the current scheduled tasks but they tasks simply fade the pc's audio in on one vb and fade it out, however all I can find is tasks that mute the PC. Anyone have any ideas? Stuart

Hi, At present the PHP page reads the MySQL data and prints on screen and if the result if 'FREE' it shows a clickable image for the user to book. I am looking for something that allows the user to drag the result they fund to another location with in the table. I.e. user has box 1 filled with their name, they can drag their name to box 9 and it saves it, so they can go back on the it will be their. If anyone knows where I can firn maybe a tutorial, or guide to get started with this, as I have looked and cannot see anything. Cheers. Stu

I have implemented the code and it works great however when I click next it still shows the old image, even when the code has been applied to the next button. Any Ideas? Stu

Hi Sorry, Too busy tyring to write this up, makes sence in my head. I am just using an Acess 2010 database. And the images are just within a directory and I would like the DB to read from there.

Hi, I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. My database has a 'Photo' Column and in that column it would have text i.e. DSC-0001. That photos would be stored within a directory i.e. C:\Images and at present staff have to browse to the images directory to see the photo. Is there a way of having they DB store the DSC-0001.jpg and there be code in the BG that would know what to do with the image i.e. show the images in a container but put the prefix of C:\Images\[db value] If anyone could help, I would be ever so greatful

Hi, In my excel spreadsheet, I have a column named start and one named end. I enter data in the fields as follows: Start Finish 01/02/2012 12:23 02/02/2012 :14:34 I want to know if it is possible to subtract the finish from start to show how many hours its taken to completed. Any IDeas?

Sorry, we are using one of the HDMI Output ports to the TV. The TV does support HDMI.
