Why is deploy printer deployment via gpo not working on Windows 8.1. This works fine on Windows 7 the printers are being deployed per user using the deploy printer option not preferences. It seems to be very wooly how it works. I can see the printers on the shared on the server.

I think that SATs, GCSE and A level years should be no go for holidays. Also longer than 2 weeks should not be allowed. I remember people when I was at school in the 80/90's always went on chavy holidays in tearm time.

Also would help if employers were understanding to parents about going on holiday during school holidays.

Nurtanix do seem to have the most flexable hyperconverged setup. Also nurtanix do have their own scale out file server. They do some units that are storage heavy which seems to be the thing in schools we use more file space than any other work load. Also vsan is the new kid on the block both HP, Datacore and Falcononstore do SAN as software.

That it a bit like the cloud is the RM CC3/4 management console you can do things on the menu and it works fine but if you want to do something not in the menu your stuffed. It the idea of not operating the hardware that I miss.

It just a bit disappointing having never looked after virtual environment. It like I missed a massive part of IT. How do you become one of the people running the cloud? How do you end up doing meaningful job rather than a just using a fisher price cloud control panel?

Scaling servers in a cloud environment is great if that how you systems work. But that not how standard MS application work. Also we don't seem have cloud coverage for Solidworks.
