I can donate you the components for an ender quarry if you want. Unless you have an affinity with gaping holes in the ground everywhere!

Yup! Small big reactors are quite cheap to build and are a good reliable power source early on

For the most basic one (3x3x3) you need 34x graphite bar; 38x Iron Ingot; 12x Yellorium; 2x Redstone; 1x Diamond and either some Yellorium, Bluetonium or (I think, not tried this) Uranium to run from. That should generate ~250 RF/t Link to Bigreactor Simulator* * the efficiency is slightly off because of a different power factor in this pack, but for that reactor, it's not far off.

I'm using liquid ender at the moment to cool my big reactor after doing some quite in depth maths based on what I've got and what the BigReactor Simulator says I should get. I don't think that it makes a huge difference to be honest. Am I right in saying that the power factor is 0.8 for them?

I find that most of the necessity of spawners is negated by manufacturing substitutes. The early one that got me was blaze powder and rods. I just started growing Cinder Pearls. Blizz powder is the one I need now though.

Fair enough. You could probably substitute the grinder with that for the same effect. I use a MFR Auto Spawner and an Ender IO Attractor Obelisk with octadic capacitor upgrade to bring them all to one place, then grind them into ender pearls

However, after a little Googling, a grinder won't work. If you can get a turtle running though, that should do.

It's supposed to kill them using a grinder, which I believe emulates player kills as I'm getting treasure from them. Haven't checked for ender shards though. Feel free to have a look in my ME system, failing that, I'll check tonight.

That's a bit advanced for me I have a couple of MFR Auto Spawners and some safari balls for when I need certain things. I had a smeltry set up with villagers to auto smelt emeralds, but turned it off when they started escaping and running riot around the grounds! You've already figured out where the other is and for what purpose.

Ender IO Energy Conduit would be my preference for capacitor banks. Plenty of others choices though. If you need any give me a shout.

Admittedly offline files can be a bit of a pig to get right. once you're there, though it's ok. A VPN of some sort would be my next go-to thing, but I've never dealt with them on that scale and have poor experience with them personally, however ymmv. Another way is to get something like Citrix XenDesktop (something we're looking into) for remote RDP on any device. Never used Direct Access so can't comment on it. What I can say is to avoid things like RM Portico (talking from [bitter] experience) as they require you do donload files and then upload saved documents.

Offline files is the recommended solution for this. that's how our 200+ staff laptops are set up.

That's actually a good point, and I think in and of itself merits this change happening. I don't believe it solves the issues that the law was sanctioned for though.

I don't believe that this law will work, mostly for reasons already stated. Whilst I shun social media, my partner loves it as she keeps in contact with her distant family and friends through it and so it's rarely left alone. Our children have therefore are growing up with the understanding of what social media is and what it can be used for, but also with the knowledge of the dangers of what can happen and the power of information. With that, when they're old enough (not for a few years yet), they can make their own informed decision about whether or not to share particular information. In the same vain, I don't believe that e-safety should be something that is a School lesson. It's something that needs to come from the home; that needs to be shown to each child based on something that they can relate to. I'm not saying that schools aren't capable of doing this. As someone else said, technology has become ingrained into everyday life, as such we as parents should teach our children how to interact with it in the same way that we do everything else. Unfortunately, the current generation of parents, myself included, had technology and the internet grow around them. this means that if people don't pro-actively seek knowledge, they'll be left to figure it out or to guess. I count myself very fortunate that I chose to try to keep up with it as I grew up but I know plenty of people that didn't, and either don't know what can happen or don't care. It's here that the teaching needs to happen so that there is no knowledge gap. If this gap persists, what's to stop the next generation from falling into the same pitfalls? In short, making an unenforceable law is pointless as people already ignore the rules enforced by the likes of Facebook as pointed out by Garacesh. What good will upping the limit do beyond making that statistic rise? The key is parental education. Obviously this is just my opinion, and isn't to say that if this law is passed, that it won't work. I would, however, be very surprised if it does. ** Apologies for minor rant **

I'm in the process of upgrading my Enhanced Energy Conduits to Ender Energy Conduit, so if anyone wants some Enhanced Energy Conduit (5120 RF/t) let me know, as I've got loads going spare now.

Or what I do is to have a batbox with Rednet Energy cable in the back and IC2 cable to the relevant machines then Ender IO conduit everywhere else. Also, I have a hardened jetpack that I no longer need if you'd like it, bald_pig

Don't kill it now, I've only just started to get to the good stuff! I might have to give this a go. I looked into the lasers a while ago with the view to getting yellorite but never did build one.

Finally got my AE2 autocrafting setup done! then promptly ran out of various resources Glowstone dust is the big one at the moment as I'm trying to make more high density ME Storage On that note, is there an easier way of getting glowstone dust than flying around aimlessly in the nether?

The lag last night wasn't me I don't think as I started getting it long after I'd sorted my mess out. Mine was clientside lag! Yes, I do plan on doing that, along with prioritisation on item conduits and integration with my main storage. For now I've just turned it off. 2.5k leather, 3k raw beef and 3.5k wool is plenty for now I think!
