  1. We have all the same screens in the room so just setup one pc to have the right setting via tablet pc settings then export HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Wisp\Pen\Digimon and copy that to the other pcs
  2. Windows server uses ipv6 for a lot internally, don’t disable it just adjust the settings to prefer ipv4
  3. Avoid using custom signin frequency for normal users. The mobile apps rely on background token refreshes rather than interactive token refresh’s and custom signin frequency breaks that causing more sign outs. Microsoft recommend relying of the default as they check the security posture of the session before deciding action.
  4. We have caught out 2 of our previous unrelated pat testing companies faking tests. Classrooms tend to have the computers left on. Rooms full of computers with pass labels on every plug but every computer uptime from before testing started. Last one even turned the cctv camera in one room around so it wasn’t viewing where they testing then turned it back when they left the room. Even stuck a failed label on an extension that they took out the labelled weee bin. Both times they tried to blame it on their apprentice. They also manage to find every box of old cables and stick labels on everything.
  5. You can switch off browser based login for the creative cloud app in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\Configs\ServiceConfig.xml once rebooted you will get the built in adobe signin popup rather than it trying with browser.
  6. Licensed for the host cores, host does not have to be Windows, Microsoft have a document related to this: https://www.microsoft.com/licensing/guidance/Windows-Server-Virtualization-Technologies
  7. One thing to be away of with single tenant option is the education storage limit of per tenant and a small amount extra per staff so with multiple groups in one tenant that limit is more likely to affect you and it is costly to add more storage (around. £4000 a year per extra 10TB)
  8. We are running our 5406Rzl2 with dual J9993A and dual J9990A, the fs.com 10g modules are working in both for us split between all the modules. What is the output of show interface transceiver show tech transceiver show interface transceiver detail
  9. Which firmware is the 5406Rzl2 running?
  10. Also worth picking up a fibre cleaner especially if the sfp modules and fibre patch cables have been stored uncapped. Can even help with new patch cables as can have dirt on arrival and can cause connection stability issues. Something like this will over most connector types. https://amzn.eu/d/6mLmhlB
  11. We use module from fs.com These are the ones we have been running for the last 5 years with our 5406r zl2, 2930f, 2920 and 2540’s https://www.fs.com/uk/products/11559.html Did you set allow-unsupported-transceiver on the switch.
  12. Does C:\ProgramData\Adobe\OperatingConfigs\ still exist as that is the share device licensing folder. If it exists delete the folder.
