  1. Did you ever get a solution this? I am also having the same problem.
  2. Hi Russell, In reponse to your questions... 1) It will be shipped by Parcelforce on the day that I confirm that the funds are in my paypal account. I intend to ship it using the Parcelforce ExressAM service, which aims to get it to you by midday, next working day. It will be insured up to £400. 2) I think what you are reffering to is escrow. I am not sure, but perhaps consulting the Paypal help system might help you out.
  3. I'm in Glasgow. Paypal is preferred payment I'm afraid. Will expedite shipment tho.
  4. I still have it mate. Actually, was just putting Win 7 back on and getting ready to put it on FleaBay. If you manage to cancel your order, I can hold it for you. Let me know how it goes.
  5. Thanks also to tech_guy for your advice!
  6. Hey folks, Just a wee updated to say that I have removed teh pic of the rear casing. Although it was clear that the rear case is in pristine condition, the pic also had revealing clarity of the product key. Thanks to kmount for pointing that out - thanks and kudos to you buddy! It's still up for sale btw! ;-)
  7. No takers? I'll be putting it on FleaBay soon!

  11. Got a source for the release date? You know if they will be releasing other 'flavours'?
  12. Yeah, I've tried with a couple of the Froyo 2.2 (x86) builds. Got it on no probs, but couldn't get the touchscreen to work. Still struggling to get ubuntu/meego/*insert your flavour of linux here* to work with touchscreen on it
  13. Also, I see that there looks to be a limitation? Minimum initial order of 300 units. Does that relate to FTE's? If that is the case, mcnallyfc and I are scuppered!
  14. +1 for GLPI!
  15. THAT WAS AWESOME (off to the pool!)
  16. Thanks for speaking with me over the phone. Looking forward to the forthcoming update!
  17. You're a gem, Tom. I hope that they are paying you enough over at SmoothWall ;-) Hope BETT goes well and not too stressful for y'all. I think I've got your details in my inbox, so I'll give you a call early afternoon Monday.
  18. I'm using my Slate as fitness training computer with Windows 7. However, I quite fancy dual booting with Ubuntu. I'll give you a shout for some instructions, if you don't mind?
  19. Sorry, my interpretation of this seems too good to be true. So, just to check...would we have to get another license to install advanced firewall, and our existing or additional SG endpoint licenses could be on the new box. Sorry if I'm being a dumba$$ asking this, but I don't wanna be breaking any laws.
  20. Is Advanced Firewall covered as well?
  21. You have a look at my post above?
  22. Does this extension of SG license to another box cover Advanced Firewall as well? By endpoints, does that refer to the number of concurrent SG licenses in the box?
  23. just outta curosity, did you have to get another license for smoothwall?
  24. Some tweaks and observations... ## Problems with A2DP quality? (choppy output) The slate seems to have a combined BT/WLan card, driven in part by a unified driver. I have noticed that A2DP playback was choppy, so after much faffing, discovered that changing the "802.11 Bluetooth High Speed" setting to DISABLED, with improve audio quality on you BT Audio device. The setting can be found on the advanced tab of the WLAN NIC Properties sheet. ## Improve Touch response The laggy issues described earlier in the thread seem similar to a non-responsive system. since there's no hdd drive light to tell if there's activity, the only place to get info about current activity is the task mgr or perf monitor. these themselves can be resource intensive at times. nonetheless, i have found that the Windows Aero setvice can be intermittently demanding. Disabling Windows Aero themes via the Personalisation settings can help improve touch interface response. More info as i figure it out folks.
