About harold_dawg

  1. I have been doing this since NT 4.0. I guess my lingo never upgraded.
  2. I ended up setting up a new BDC with server 2022. It was an easier fix than dealing with the issue at this point. The only service it runs is DNS so it was an easy change.
  3. We use a Windows RDS gateway server with remote apps. They can install the remote desktop connector app and access network resources and print.
  4. Not sure if this did the trick or not. I had another one this morning. But yes that is correct. The changes I made today was to make sure the backup dc was set to sync time with the PDC. I used this command: w32tm /config /syncfromflags:domhier /update I'm seeing time and DNS errors on the clients. The clients have been on the domain since June and the only change was to upgrade the backup DC to server 2025. I'm also seeing an issue on the 2025 DC with the network profile going to public instead of domain on a restart. I have to restart the NIC for it to go back to domain network profile. I have seen other posts with the same issue, even with the beta versions. I can't believe Microsoft didn't fix these bugs before general release.
  5. Is this to only add signatures when sending from outlook? What about mobile devices and online Outlook? We are currently using Code2 which adds the signature on the backend of emails when they leave O365 regardless of device. Thanks
  6. I use PaperCut with our 9 copiers with virtual print ques. For HP desktop and network printers I use Directprint.io. Directprint works great with Chromebooks, Windows, and Mac. Mac and Windows use a print client and Chromebooks use a Chrome ext. You can also sync with Azure AD and Gsuite.
  7. I use Smart Deploy. They were bought out recently by PDQ deploy. I create the images in HyperV and then capture it using Smart Deploy. In Smart Deploy you create the answer file and download the device driver packages. I then upload the wim boot file to WDS and PXE boot. You can also install a client on the machine and use wake on LAN to schedule the imaging.
  8. I use manage engine patch manager plus. It is free for up to 25 devices.
  9. I had this issue on server 2025 backup DC. I fixed the issue by installing the domain KDC certificate for Kerberos authentication. Hope this helps others.
