  1. Our MAT moved all academies to Arbor over the last 6 months, but I'm surprised I've not heard a lot of complaints about the integration woes. Our sixth form cannot sign in as they normally do before Period 1, as Inventry cannot write the mark with no active lesson. It also cannot write back to the 'roll call' mark so anyone signing in late after Period 1 ends gets the unauthorised mark (as roll call AM ends after this time, and I believe trust policy prohibits the change) InVentry and Arbor Integration – Arbor Help Centre
  2. I noticed pressing CTRL+ALT+DELETE seems to be the only consistent way to go from clock lock screen to login fields, as had this happen a lot where keyboard and sometimes mouse click wouldn't do anything (at least for the first few seconds). This is also without any GPOs forcing CTRL+ALT+DELETE to unlock as well. Annoys the hell out of me when logging into multiple devices in a row.
  3. We're in a hybrid AD / Entra state, with email groups defined via on-prem AD like yours. Since we don't have access to Exchange online (MAT controlled), we do all the config in AD: Within Active Directory... 1) Create a new mail enabled security group (e.g. "SCHOOL_ALL_STAFF_SENDERS) 2) Add the users to the above group who you want to allow to send all staff emails 3) Go to your All Staff mail enabled security group, and open the Attribute Editor 4) Find the 'dLMemSubmitPerms' attribute. 5) Set this attribute to the object path for your allowed senders group (e.g. CN=SCHOOL_ALL_STAFF_SENDERS,OU=O365 Groups,OU=SchoolName,DC=YOUR,DC=DOMAIN) This may take a little while to sync with Entra, but once done it should reject messages from people not in the senders group. Hope this helps
  4. That's awesome! No problem, you're very welcome
  5. I completed my Level 3 IT Solutions Technician apprenticeship a couple of years ago, and I was also nervous, but it turned out to be good. The person I spoke to was very polite. I'm assuming you will have been tasked with completing a portfolio of some sort over the duration of your course, to document any tasks or projects you've been involved in. In addition, you may have also completed a project under controlled conditions (I did for mine). The professional discussion is honestly not as scary as it sounds. I had mine over a Microsoft Teams meeting. The person on the other end would have my portfolio to hand, and I would also have a printed copy for easy reference. I would then be asked questions or be prompted to talk about some of the tasks that I'd documented on my portfolio. Assuming it's following the same criteria as mine, the person you have the discussion with is going to be looking for three things in particular for each task you discuss. -What (What you have shown you can do) - How (The way in which the work has been done) - With Whom (Did you work alone, or as part of a team. How did you work effectively as a team or alone?) Don't be afraid to go into technical detail, but if you want to go for the Distinction, they're essentially looking for you to identify all three of the bits above (The What, How and With Whom). They will ask you some questions as you discuss each task or area, which are designed to help you out and enable you to deliver the information the best you can. Best of luck to you!
  6. Does anyone use Sign In App for their Sixth Form? Interested to learn how well it works with signing them in and out, and writing back their mark to the MIS (specifically SIMS Connected).
  7. Another one here for MIS communication (SIMS InTouch)
  8. We use a combination of USB Drives and WDS (using Windows 10 boot image to get Windows 11 images to work), and we use NTLite to create the unattend file for us.
  9. We've had a similar issue with the Latitudes of the same model, although we've had more failures with the DC charging port failing, which we've had repaired on over half of our batch! The lids are also a bit odd, if you open the lid whilst the laptop is just flat on your desk, it'll push the base of the laptop up as the bottom of the lid catches the desk, eventually tearing the hinge or wearing it out.
